JP has a Facebook group for those planning to go from London.

https://www.facebook.com/groups/3140402 ... 0/?fref=ts

Isn't there a team event (European Champions Cup kind of thing)? Are we sending any teams e.g. Bar Kick or Shoreditch Hotshots as numbers 1 and 2 in the BFA League 2015...?

Thanks Will, I didn't know about the group, hopefully we can add people who are going on here so if anyone outside of London wants to go can share hotel/transport, knows who is going, etc.

Yep it's the ECL too. Bar Kick & Shoreditch Hotshots, are you going?

Ergh, see, this is why I don't like things having moved from the forum to Facebook. Facebook means too many private groups. Something for us to work on.

The deadline for the BFA to let the ITSF know which, if any, teams we'll be sending to the ECL is the 15th March. As an FYI.

I'm 95% at this point. Need to find an OD partner though.

Is everyone staying for the Sunday or travelling back early? Speedball and classic doubles are utterly unappealing in my opinion...

Bar Kick will be sending a team to compete in the European Champions League.

The team is:

Dave Ziemann (captain)
Krisztian Bali
Sam Dawkins
Stephen Lyall
Rich Marsh
Donna Walker

Please can someone register us for the ECL? Our home table will be Tornado.

Also, Stephen Lyall and Dave Ziemann will be playing in the Bonzini WCS (all events in the package - Dave Z will be playing in Open Doubles with Steve rather than Senior Doubles) and Rich Marsh will be playing in everything but the Sunday events.

If anyone (Jody?) knows of any girls looking for a Mixed partner please let me know.

Thanks,

Steve

Funny that Bar Kick's home table is Tornado and not Bonzini.

Jody is the best person for the registrations.

Rich Marsh playing for Bar Kick even though he was a Wanderer last season (at least when we were getting a team out). But I don't mind, I think the Wanderers are done now.

Good luck guys.

Hi Dan, I'll talk about this in a chair's blog soon if you'd like, as I know the current situation is an issue for some people.

There's also more info on the website at http://www.britfoos.com/membership.
Why do we have a membership scheme?

Currently the BFA provides a range of benefits to British players that come at a significant expense to the association despite the valiant efforts of numerous volunteers. These expenses include ITSF membership and ITSF player licences, allowing us to send our teams and players to ITSF events, keeping the website and forum available for players to use and storing and transporting tables to allow organisers to run events.

The membership scheme is aimed at providing a base level of income which will allow the BFA to maintain these benefits and potentially improve on them in due course. It also provides a more professional approach to collecting data on members and maintaining this so we can communicate and engage members more effectively.

Almost all sports and game associations charge their members an annual fee to cover the cost of keeping the association running, and the BFA follows suit.
