I can get a flight out from Manchester Friday evening to Brussels, and returning Monday morning (assume there will be a cheap train between Brussels and Antwerp - they're not far apart). £62, and I'd only have to take 1/2 a day off work. Very tempted.

Anyone else fancy it for accom share etc?

Joe,Darlo would be tempted by this tournament.I looked at those flights as well.CRL is Charleroi which is around 112km from Antwerp. Can't find any flights for Brussels International which is only 42km away. Will look into trains and hotels in the next few days.

I think those flights are currently £49 return on ryanair's website.

They show results on the info page linked via the ITSF tournaments page but they look like last year's.

Rob, Ola, Chris L and I all went.

Was a nice little event, well lit, great tables, food was limited but nice. Saw lots of old faces and played hundreds of pick up matches.

Rob came 2nd in OD and 4th in OS. They only seeded top 8 so Rob had Tom Van De Cauter in the first round of OS. Brutal draw. He lost to Adel in losers side. He was king seat for OD and came up against an on fire Rocco.

I will be going next time. Cheap as chips to be honest £125 for travel and hotel and 50 euros entry for 6 events. spent about 30 on food and drink. Really nice weekend. Did poo in everything except for AS which was when it all started to click. Came 7th which I was happyish with. Ran out of steam against a good pin shooter in losers bracket.

Yeah it was a good tournament actually and I'll probably go to the next one as well. As Mase says, cheap and comparatively pretty convenient - though we did get back in to Dover at about 11pm on Sunday in the end, leaving a long drive back to the South West.

It was just a tournament though - no chance of any sightseeing/nightlife at all really the way we did it with venue and hotel both in the middle of nowhere. I guess a comparable experience would be a Warren's Holiday Village tournament. In many ways though this event was better for the actual foos than the Leonhart WCS a few months ago - everything being DE makes for much more dense days of playing (RS, RD, AS, AD, OS, OD).

Results wise the highlight for me was 3rd in Rookie Doubles playing with some random Portuguese guy I met on the day. Didn't do much in the other events, though managed to hold a little in OS before being pushed out by Yannick Correia.
