Does anyone know how I find out if I am rookie or SP?
Sometimes they have the rule where if you are in top 8 womens you have to be SP but I haven't seen it mentioned in the info package.
Thanks

all Top Seeds are determined using the rankings as they are 4 weeks before
the start of the event. These rankings will be displayed on the ITSF website upon
reception of the results of the last event to take place before the 4-week span -
changes taking place afterwards will not be taken into consideration.

Tottenham Hale opens at 5:20am. First Vic train about that time too. Not sure where you would come from Andy but that's probably early enough to catch say the 5:51am Stansted Express from Tottenham Hale. Trains leave at 6,21,36 & 51 mins past each hour. That would get to airport at 6:30am. Is an hour before long enough?

I would say no unless you are travelling with hand baggage only.

Another option is going the night before and airport hotel.

Rating categories
There are 3 rating categories:
pro = Promaster and Pro in the Garlando Rankings + ITSF Pro Players
Semi pro = Semi Pro in the Garlando Rankings + non Austrian players

Chris thinks he might not be coming, so I no longer have a partner. Anyone thinking of coming and without a partner who wants to partner me for OD and SPD?

1. Dave - you said non-Austrian ppl are SP automatically. I think Joe said I'd be a rookie if I fell below 800th in ITSF ranking (which not going to Bonzini should means I do). Checking this.

2. Travel - re the whole getting-to-the airport thing, I will obv be getting a cab. Anyone can feel free to join/meet me on the way.

Below 400th in the ITSF open combined rankings. This was the case for both Bonzini and RS worlds.

However, there isn't a fixed ITSF ruling on this - I'm guessing as the Austrians feel the Garlando rankings are pretty thorough (they're at least not annual re-set like most other ranking lists) and that they want to protect local rookies they want everyone coming into Austria, who isn't in the Garlando rankings, to be at least semi-pro.

I'll e-mail the organisers tonight and ask for some clarification though.

Think these are the rankings - http://tfboe.org/index.php?module=Pages ... d=22&pid=1

Mayya I can't find you on the garlando rankings so that may mean you are SP.

Particularly as we played together in OD last year.

Now looking at BMI direct Mcr-Mun leaving 0655 Thursday morning (missing pro-dubs but available for NC) and returning Sunday night - £154 return including 20kg baggage.

Not sure what I'm doing wrong, but that ranking list isnt working for me - I cant find myself anywhere. If anyone has any time and can see what I'm ranked as would really appreciate.

OK, partnering Dave for SPD but still don't have an OD partner. Anyone interested?

I'm committed to this now. I'll book the Ryanair flight out and back, and I'll find a way to Stansted on Wednesday morning somehow. It'll probably work out slightly cheaper than splitting with BA out and Ryanair back, and it's the same flight as the Darlington guys. I suggest we all get these flights - has anyone else booked their flights yet?

For hotels, I don't think 3 double rooms will be very good - we should look somewhere else. I think we should book at the Darlington guys' hotel: http://www.booking.com/hotel/at/adeo-pu ... in.en.html. I know it's about 1.5 miles away so a 25 minute walk, but that's not much further away than the others we were looking at, and it has several things going for it:
- We're all together, which is much better
- It's cheap (£35 a night for a single)
- It's got good reviews and there is an attached bakery for breakfast that has awesome chocolate croissants
- There are currently 15 available rooms from Wed 25 Jul 2012 to Mon 30 Jul 2012, for 5 nights - a variety of singles, doubles and triples. They can be booked online without an advance payment and are cancellable up to 4pm on the day we arrive.

If you really want somewhere a bit closer I'm fine with that, but I think this is a good deal. Let me know what you think.
