I prefer to stay at the B because it's nearer. Apparently they still have a single room available for £36 per night if you book online here:

Any thoughts from anyone else?

Has anyone booked flights yet?

Mayya, I'll take you up on that offer of a taxi share to Stansted on Wednesday morning! I'm in north London.

Registration is now open - http://www.table-soccer.org/news/?news=727

I don't mind doing this for people, just PM me what you're entering and who with and I'll sort it out.

Also, I've finally managed to find the right person to make a call on rankings if you're not in the IGR, if you need to know you're rank let me know and I'll find out.

Joe.

I've booked that room at the Bruckenwirt. So now we have 3 doubles and 1 single between us.

Registration deadline is July 18th.

I think we have to register a national team soon. As far as I know, the people coming are:

Men:
Rob Atha
Dave Ziemann
Andrew Nubbert
Boris Atha
Darren Warr
Martin Landers
Matthew Warr
Callum Oakes
Callum's Dad

Women:
Jody Walding
Mayya Racy
Olga Lasecka (plays for GB yes?)

Undecided:
Chris Lyall
Rich Marsh

At least 3 women are required for the women's event. One match of 3 in each tie will be forfeited if there aren't 4 players. So, will you be entering a women's team? :)

We don't have enough for a women's team so I was hoping that Mayya and I would be able to play on the men's team.

OK, should be fine as long as the ITSF rules still permit it.

Re travel, I think best way (having just tried it this wkend) is the bus. National Express bus goes from 2min walk from my flat (Marylebone Road) all night so is v convenient - eg there's a coach at 3.40am, 3.55am, 4.10am, 4.25am. All take 1h10. All cost £10.

My booking at the Bruckenwirt has failed - Dave's site doesn't seem to link to room availability. So we still only have 3 doubles between the 5 of us - Boris, Dave, me, Mayya, Jody. I still think the place the Darlington lot are staying at is our best bet!

Whatever everyone is doing I would suggest booking something asap as there isn't much availability and I keep seeing people searching on Facebook saying they can't find anything.

I would prefer to stay with Mayya at the hotel she has booked. Mainly because I stay out quite late and don't want to be walking even further at night.

Isn't Boris hiring a car? If so the Darlington guy's hotel would probably be better for him as it's cheaper and he will drive to the venue anyway.

Arriving in Munich on Wednesday then driving across? Pls can you let me know what time you guys land. If its later in the day/there's space, would be up for joining incoming (and cant speak for him but think DZ might too).. then maybe leave from Salzburg on Monday.

Mayya, If you need a later flight another option is flying to Linz (this is the flight I'm getting but a few days earlier) which is a 1hr 20min train journey to Salzburg. Private transfer £120ish or train £23.
-Ryanair. departing 13:30 from Stansted.

Hotel booked (same as the Darlington lot) - Memmingen is about as Munich as Salzburg is - just the opposite direction...

OK, I've now booked with the Darlington guys and Boris at the Adeo Hotel Puch-Urstein too (no rooms left at the Bruckenwirt).

Andy,

Mayya has a tasty coach from where she live to Stansted.

But looking at the timings, it makes more sense for me to get the train from Tottenham Hale station. For me it's just a 15 min cab journey to Tottenham Hale. The train journey is 36 minutes. Departure times are:
04.52 (tube not open yet)
05.22 (tube not open yet)
05.37 (tube open)

The 5:22am train would arrive at about 6am, which is very comfortable for the 7:50am flight.

It's £19 for a single, £27.50 for a return.

Stansted Express timetable:

(I can't create a hyperlink here because the morons decided it would be clever to include brackets in their URL, so you'll have to join the above 2 lines in your browser).

Are we allowed to pay registration fees on the day at the venue?
