Are people all booked for this? Starting to think me and Han should get it sorted haha! Can anyone give details of flights theyre taking? Do we have to email our entry to the organisers again like last year to get the discount package? (Seem to vaguely remember doing this...)

Can't wait :)

A few us of are flying Easyjet from Luton on the 21st straight to Vienna (rather than Bratislava) and flying back the same way on the 29th. Came to about £113 including travel insurance and 1 hold bag.

Yeah!! Like last year.

1.) Please do online pre-registration. Important is that you name all your (playing) partners.
2.) Pay the discount package in Tulln.

Online pre-registration will be possible soon (June 1st)!!

Thanks Marko, and thanks Chris too!

How far is Bratislava Vienna airport from the venue? Been looking at some cheap flights...

Bratislava is only 40 miles from Vienna and you can take a cheap bus from the airport (it was less than a tenner for a return). Vienna to Tulln obv go by train which takes a few hours, probably less, overall IIRC.

Bratislava-Vienna is about 50 minutes with the airport bus (10-15 EUROS).

Take a train from Vienna to Tulln (between 27 and 45 minutes, about 5 EUROS).

Here you can find all trains connections:

Online registration is also possible now:

I'm going to Hannover in a car, staying there for a few days and then flying to Vienna.

Not really sure what the rest of the Brits are doing.

I'm sure there will be people at the event who will drive between the two, but I've heard it's extremely long so I decided not to do it.

You could probably hook up with someone at the tecball worlds, and if that fails get the train.

Hope this helps.

@Oliver:
The pre-registration is done by our office but I think I saw your registration. A full list will be available on Monday.

Tulln-Aschaffenburg is about 6 hours by car.

Oli

Did you have to pay money to transfer the money from your bank to make an international euros payment?

I think it costs a lot.

Marko - can I pre-reg and then pay you at the event? I think internationals were allowed to pay at the event when I came in 2004 (of course things may have changed since then! ;)). I want to avoid any silly bank charges!

Thanks!

No, I didnt transfer. I think Marko said that in an earlier post - I didnt fill in any bank details and put the payment date as the first day of the tournie. Then I think you can pay on the desk when you're there.

Hmm, hotel we stayed at last time is full - don't have anywhere to stay yet! Anyone know anywhere with spaces, or any decent campsites near the venue? Cheers!
