European ITSF tournaments

Post by Steviola » Sun Jan 05, 2014 6:39 pm

This year I would really like to try to move my game up a level or 2 and try to become a very strong European player, so I'm looking at going to as many European ITSF tournaments as possible (as well as our own) to gain more experience against unknown players. I've had a look at the ITSF calendar and actually there are quite a few that could be appealing:

- Garlando - Danube Open - Linz, Austria - 28Feb - 2Mar - £62 return flight from London
- Leonhart - Luxembourg Open - Luxembourg - 15-16 Mar - around £50
- Leonhart - CZ Leonhart Tour - Prague, CZ - 11-13 Apr - £60
- Bonzini - Bonzini WCS - Paris, FR - 16-18 May - £eurostar
- Ullrich - P4P Weltmeisterschaft, Bonn, DE - 24-27 Jul
- Leonhart - Leonhart WCS - Luxembourg - 5-7 Sep

I don't know when the Garlando WCS is yet but I could also be interested in that one.

Joe B and I are already pretty set on going to the Prague one, is anyone else interested in joining us? Would anyone be interested in partnering up for some of the other tournaments? Ideally I'd like to get things set up in advance to keep costs down.

Steve

I'm pretty much 100% on Prague, Garlando wcs and Ullrich. No doubt I could be tempted into the Bonzini wcs too, particularly if a few people are up for a few days in Paris as a couple of us did last year.

Also, if there are any other tournaments anywhere this year where I can get a Friday night return Sunday evening flights then I'll probv be in for that too.

Those look interesting.

I've heard that Garlando WCS will likely be in Salzburg the weekend before the P4PWM.

I'd very much be up for staying in Austria/Germany between these 2 if this is the case.

Hi Steve et al,

I am looking at all these except the first one.

If I can sort out a partner for these quick then happy to book some tickets and set it in stone.

WCS not sure I will play at Garlando and Bonzini but will play for sure at Leonhart.

Regards,

Mase

OK so Dave Z and I have booked our flights to Luxembourg for the Leonhart Master Series tournament in March :) anyone else thinking about it? I think Mase is looking for a partner.

Joe B and I should be booking flights to Prague for the one in April today or in the next few days.

I'm still up for going to the Garlando tournament in Austria but haven't heard of anyone else going or interested.

Probably want to sort out Bonzini worlds fairly soon too.

Originally the Bobby SPort and the World Championships (Multi table) were meant to be heading to ITaly along with ECL. However I received an message the other day that Portugal and Spain have both expressed and interest in getting involved.

I don't think we will know for a week or two.
