This is the 5th year this match has been played. Previous results:

2004 @ Oxford, Oxford win 15-10
2005 @ Warwick, Warwick win 12-4
2006 @ Oxford, Warwick win 16-9
2007 @Warwick, Warwick win 12-4

The last couple of years there was much talk of what would happen when Warwick's top players left. 5 from 8 of last year's Warwick team have now left (Tom Burdett, Stephen Lyall, Andrew Nubbert, Tom Hampson, Joe Latimer) so it should be interesting.

Plus College-less Post-doc College (c.f. Mike Hart). You're right, Dave, we can't possibly not win.

Mike is very unique. He's the only "ex-Old Boy" I know of
I heard he was with the Pharmacology College nowadays.

Anyway, good luck Oxford!

Final result: Oxford 5 - 11 Warwick

Thanks a lot all the Warwick guys for making the trip over, it was a really good match. The end result doesn't really reflect how close it was - Oxford took the lead early and led 5-4. Warwick equalised then went on to win a few crucial close games. At 8-5 down Chris and I lost on sweatball against Clyall and Adam which was gutting. The final few games just got away from us. I should have done much better in the last game but Nik and Christian were playing well and deserved to win.
