He has muscles bigger than my head, I swear it. So, yeah, he can hit the ball pretty damn fast:(
Take a look at Alex Shovelton's supermodel arms - probably the most powerful (good) hitter of the ball in the UK. Size doesn't matter so much -  he does have big hands though...

Dave why did you say that?

What was your thinking here?

And don't answer with - why do you ask?

Rob, I was hoping to steer the conversation around to colour-coding forums.

What a novel idea - do explain yourself please.

Why do I ask you to do that?  Well why not.

Last time I talked to Alex he said he was a grow'er, not a show'er.  I'm sure he was talking about his muscles...

This friday/saturday?

Next week is going to be best for us, Monday should be good but Mike is going to check his rowing-training schedule and get back to me.
Saturday is pretty much out as I'll be at work all day.

Also, an evening trip may be a bit short depending on travelling time. I suspect I'll need to get a bus into Cardiff town and we'll drive from there which will result in about an hour and a half on the go for me.

It'd be a shame if by the time we got there we could only play for 30 minutes or so before we needed to leave again.

naaa! I meant next weekend.  If Sat is out then Friday would be good, if you could get to Swansea for 5.30 - 6ish then we could have a good few hours on the table and a few beers as well,  During the day, especially monday  is pretty much out for me being an office hours worker etc.

cheers

I'll check to see if Friday is good for Mike.
Or... How would Sunday be?

Oh, and I should warn you, I don't drink and I suspect Mike's training regime forbids it. Gareth can drink most people under the table though...

Sunday  22nd would be good, club is open from noon until 10.30pm.   I wouldn't be able to get there until about 1.30.

Thanks for that re Gareth, I'll not get into a round with him then.

cheers

Hey again Jinxsi,
Mike got back to me, he has an event of some kind this weekend (typical) but apparently, if they do well he'll be free next weekend - or the hopefully the Friday evening at least.
Hope that this is ok for you (and I'm sure Mike and the co. will do excellently). :)

Ok, sounds good. :)

Really looking forward to it - starting to think I probably can afford a table but... Tornado or Garlando? So playing on a Tornado will really help me compare to the Garlando's I know so well. :)

Hey again Simon!

Mike did well yesterday - not sure if he won or not but I can assure you he didn't drown and is free this coming weekend.

Sunday will probably work best for the three of us, if that's convenient for yourself..?

Ta,
Mac.

Hi Mac,

Sunday should be OK.  There is a sailing event on this weekend so the club may be a bit busy.  Also I may be sailing in the morning until early afternoon....but I might not it depends if my crew can make it.  Either way plenty of scope for a few hours foos in the pm.

cheers

Ok, sounds good.
Would we need to be let in by yourself, say? Or would they let just about anyone in to use the facilities without being with a member?
Just wondering in case you are sailing and we arrive early.

I moved this to the Wales forum so hopefully you can get things together at a local level, it seems more appropriate than the friendship forum.

The club will be open, and there will be other visitors as there is an event on etc.  If I am not there to meet you I will inform the steward to expect you.  I'll pm you my mob so you can text nearer the time if need be.
