North Wales

Post by ashyc23 » Tue May 10, 2005 2:56 am

Being the jammy devil that i am, i get to move to North Wales in a few weeks.  Its near a place called Rhyl.

Oh yeah, bangors the place i will check out.

Anyway, i have a worthy garlando blocky feet table, so i guess there's a tiny chance that someone might call it a time out on the sheep, and join up for some free play and give i the chance of some much needed competition.

Nice one.

Not sure you'll feel so lucky when you see Rhyl! Think post-apocalyptic Blackpool, but full of scousers on Holiday.

Anyway. Bangor's pretty good for tables, but there is no longer any regular player-base to speak of. I'll be back in Bangor in about a month if you want to meet up for some games.

Not sure about tables elsewhere in North Wales, but if you find any you should fill in a venue-registration form, or PM me, and then we'll know in future.

Enjoy

Mark

And maybe, just maybe, Mark could introduce you to that person.

Yup.  Just don't look guilty or too smart and they won't suspect a thing.

I'd suggest rolling in the mud for a bit and getting hit by a car or two for good measure.  That will give you the crusty disguise that you require.

:D

There's a new table in Bangor - The Albion on the High Street (opposite the Fat Cat) - it's a block foot Garlando, with the glass removed. Brand new and so the bars are straight and the surface is clean and true, but there are still long springs (thus promoting the unstoppable ramp pass) and slippy orange balls.

Still, the best table in Bangor as far as I know, and if you ask nicely you should get an evening of free games if you're drinking and with friends.

I'll probably be there sometime, drunk and with friends, in the next 10 days.
