Chester (Telford's Warehouse) Doubles Sept 21st

Post by El Capitan » Sat Sep 08, 2012 9:33 pm

[See below for details on the 21st September session]
I am thoroughly fed up of not being able to get doubles going anywhere in the area. So is there anything we can do?

Does anyone play in Chester anymore? Telfords perhaps? Looks like I missed their heyday by a few years...

Can we get anything going near northwich for Eddie / benge... If that's where you are?

Hopefully one day some players will appear.

Wish it wasn't so far though...

Hard to believe we can't sort something out closer.

Looks like we're playing some doubles on Friday night (21st September) at Telford's Warehouse in Chester.

Joe and I are going along after work / dinner.

Mike Russell (one of the regulars from Telford's a few years ago) is trying to raise the locals...

Mike suggest games are from maybe 9pm onwards...

Fingers crossed for a good 'un.

Morning all,

I'm off to Chester this evening with some colleagues and wondered if anyone could confirm any venues in the centre of Chester that currently have tables? I've checked the venue listings but I wasn't sure how many are still live. Does Telford's Warehouse still have their table? Any info would be appreciated.

Cheers,
Adam

Hi Adam

We only have two venues currently listed in Chester
Telfords Warehouse Tower Wharf Chester CH1 4EZ 01244 390 090 (Fireball)
Rileys Centurion Point, Victoria Road Chester CH2 2AX 01244 397113 (Garlando)

We last visited Telfords Warehouse just over 12 months ago and the Fireball was there at the time, as the place has had a table for years I'd expect it still to be there, but cannot guarantee the condition.

I haven't visited Chester Rileys but it was still open last time I checked (about 4 months ago) and you can expect to find a branded older-style Garlando World Champion (or two) in the venue. I'd take some lube along as it is unlikely to have been serviced.

If you find any players there please let us know!

Boris
