Once again I'm hamstrung by work on Saturday morning so can't be there this week.

Re the table itself: I think with Ming being incognito, the loss of Daz and EeLin to Malaysia, Jonas has vanished and is possibly back in Lithuania, Jude's been quiet and probably busy; it's all too much for the scene to handle. I think Fridays aren't working either. It's frustrating and annoying trying to encourage new players to keep up appearances, not to mention a great deal of work. We need more dedicated scene-organisers to share the burden of responsibility.
Every Friday at Rileys Manchester on Deansgate. PM me for more info.

I feel your pain - I would really like to get double organised in Liverpool, but we don't have the all important criticial mass of players to guarantee that on a given day every week there will be doubles.

I'm working on it...

A little bird tells me that the Tornado's days at Rileys are numbered and that it is earmarked for the Rainbow.

Indeed; those who swing the axe within Rileys have decided that two Garlandos at £1 per play, one completely in darkness is better than a Tornado with superb lighting and a dedicated player base. The table will be removed on Wednesday afternoon. A sad end but frankly I hope it finds a much deserved home where it is appreciated.

At this point I would like to say a big thanks to F4F/Dave Oates for all his help with maintenance and supplies throughout the years. Most of all I'd like to say a huge thank you to George Eid for being the most enthusiastic and kind guy I've ever met. Between us we have recruited some good new players and had many a good player as an opponent: Lorenzo, Marco, Pete, Jonas, Ming & Lucas, Darren, Leon, Harold, Bing, Immy, Khalid, Bo, Farouk, Rob A and Ola, Boris, Jude, Haps, Alex S, Richard B, Stu Cree, Les Jones, Rob K, Tomasz, EeLin & Carey, Joe Bundy and of course, Crazy Paul. Apologies to anyone I've missed.

See you at The Rainbow.

Yes a sad end, the Rileys tornado haunt was a nice venue, good few years and loads of fun.

I would also like to say to Mr AK47, this would not been acheived without your dedication.
A 1000 thanks to you Ant.
See you soon.

I think as a tribute to George and Ant's efforts and as a dose of nostalgia it is worth watching again this video of Rileys in its hey day!
