Venue Listings - please tell us about new or dead venues

Post by Boris » Thu Feb 22, 2007 6:16 pm

A full list of venues appears on the BFA venue listings page:
http://www.britfoos.com/WhereToPlay/Locations.php

However most of these listings are at least 5 years old, and probably well over 50% will no longer have tables.  If you are thinking of visiting a venue please ring in advance to avoid disappointment.

Please check the venue listings in your area and using this thread let us know about any new venues, dead venues (no longer has a table etc), changes of name or details etc.

This will allow the venue listings to be kept more up to date.

Tip - If you want to find out about new venues the best way is to find out who operates pool tables/jukeboxes/bandits in your local pubs (usually the operator has a sticker with a phone number) and give them a ring to ask if they have any footie tables on site locally where you can play.

Fox and Grapes, 15 Fox St, Preston.

Garlando coin-op but with non-sandblasted playfield. Pinny telescopic rods with quite a bit of bending. Corner ramps not screwed down to the playfield!   50p play but I don't know how many balls you get.

Basically in a state but could be pretty playable with a bit of TLC from someone. I have the name of the woman who is in charge of it and I'm going to post her some screws to screw down the ramps. It desperately needs someone to go along and give it a good lubing (oo er missus).
I love this stupid game!

Pretty sure there's no table at the Dee Hotel on the Wirral any more - I go there a lot when I'm home from uni and I've never seen a foosball table. Think it probably went when management changed a few years back.

Thanks Graeme - it was never confirmed in the first place - I remember searching for it for ages.

There's a nice Tornado in Mumbles Yacht Club, 746 Mumbles Road, Swansea.
Not sure if the venue is members only though, Jinxsi can confirm and also probably knows exactly what table it is.

Bem Brasil didn't last long.

Two Champfoos venues in Liverpool, both with WC-spec Garlando Olympic Silver tables, 50p per game.

Baa Bar Hardman Street, Myrtle Street, Liverpool
Bumper Night Club, Hardman Street, Liverpool

Looking to organise some late-night events at Bumper in the near future.
