Anyone play in Hull?
I'm looking for someone to play against in the Hull area, just for fun as I love the game but it's hard to find people to play against. If we found a few we could maybe start a club.

Re: Anyone play in Hull?
We know of 4 venues in Hull which have, or who have recently had, tables installed (all Fireballs)
Three are close to the University:
Piper Club, Newland Avenue, Hull HU5 2NN
Bar 66, 10 Cottingham Road, Hull HU6 7RA
The Haworth Arms, 449 Beverley Road, Hull HU6 7LD
And one off to the North East of the city
Saltshouse Tavern, 1 Dunvegan Road,Hull HU8 9JD
Older venues (from 2001 database) which almost certainly no longer exist but might be worth checking out:
Furlong & Firkin, 2 Norwood, Beverley, North Humberside HU17 9ET
Norseman Pub, Middle St North , Driffield North Humberside YO25 6ST
Scruffy Murphy's, 371-3 Beverley Road, Hull HU5 1LA
We don't know of any other players in the Hull area at the moment, so your best bet is to see if any of the existing venues have any players (maybe, with landlords permission, put a sticker or notice on the tables), or if any other operators have tables in the city (see who operates pool tables, bandits, juke boxes etc and give them a call to see if they have any foosball tables sited locally).
If you want to find decent opposition I'm afraid you're going to have to travel - Darlington TFC is probably your nearest active club, followed by the Rainbow in Manchester or Royal Oak Nuneaton. I'd recommend Darlington as they are well organised and attract players from across the region.
