Games in Leeds

Post by bellyboy » Wed Aug 27, 2008 12:37 pm

I've just moved to Leeds for two months on a secondment.  Are there any pubs with a table here?

I'm up for a few games one evening, preferably as central as possible.

Hey, welcome to NorthYorkshire mate!
Were not all about inbreeding and bar fights we also have a good foos scene going on!

A 15 min drive from leeds is Harrogate which has:

Har-low-gata: Pinny Garlando
Alexander: Blocky Garlando
Manhatton Snooker Club: Tornado
Monteys: FAS

Friday and saturday nights in Monteys are the best and im more than happy to invite any new members over to mine to join the rest of the gang for a foos night out!
PM me if interested  :D

Update: found a pinny foot Garlando in the "Sports Bar" in chinatown in Leeds (and some very generous quiz machines). Silver paint job, telescopic rods, glass top, 50p. Looked in good shape.  However, they said the bar was moving to combine with Riley's and form the "Cue Club", so not sure if the TF will be taken along.

This is really close to my flat - do you know when it's moving?

They said September 1st. But it's moving to somewhere only 3 mins away, where Riley's snooker used to be.  Give me a shout if you fancy some games on their table before they move.

The 'sports bar' may be in the db as 'Supa Snooker', as it sounds like the right place.

Yes that's the same place. I checked the Bricklayer's Arms which was on the db, no table.

I can thoroughly recommend the Le Grande Bushy Hotel. Very comfortable and a cracking breakfast.
