Hi Guys and lasses,

Any of you know of any local leagues/events in West Yorkshire particularly Leeds?

Cheers,

Hi Barry,

So far I have found two garlando tables in the Students Union at Leeds university, and a Bonzini in the Sports cafe.

I am currently trying to organise something with the University, making contacts is hard but I am trying.

The only competitions I know of have been the Cotty's house invitational on a few occassions, great fun but not must prize money :D (It is a multi table venue though 8) )

If you find any tables in Leeds city please let me know.

Matt.

Or, convince him that he wants to spend most of one Saturday and most of the related Sunday being hung over and playing 4BRB singles :P

Hi Matt,

Thanks for the info, I am based around Leeds Uni so I would be happy to try and get something going here. Also, if you fancy meeting up for a game do let me know,

Cheers,

Hi there,

I'm a complete newbie but I've just ordered a Bonzini B90 for my house so I hope to be on a rapid upward learning curve.

I live in Manchester but work in Leeds - am obviously up for games on the Bonzini table in the Sports Cafe but also happy to try other table styles

am often looking to waste time around 5pm ish to avoid getting the train back in rush hour so just email me (p.a.taylor@leeds.ac.uk) if you'd like a game.

Best,

Paul.

Hi Paul,

Do you work in the uni then? If so I could meet you one evening in the union games room for a few games on the Garlandos in there.

Matt.

yep, for my sins ...

give me some advance warning of a night that suits you, on Mondays and Thursdays I finish at 5pm, Weds - early afternoon or 6pm depending on whether I go to a staff seminar ...

best,

Paul.

I did find some decent players in the supasnooker sports bar in Chinatown, next to the Lucky Dragon - was a newish (blocky, short-spring) garlando there last time I went - probably 2003. There was also one in the Bricklayers arms just behind the Uni.
