Friday April 10th - in the Sponsor's Lounge
Are the tables already in the Lounge or will they need moving?

I believe they will already be in the Lounge - I might be able to get there for 7.30 and help if they need moving. Although it may be that the tables are OK whree they are.

Tournament for May 8th-10 is definitely on. Official announcement should soon follow but expect Junior events (including sixth formers) to take place on the Friday; the Open on the Sunday and a wide range of events on the Saturday. Poster should be available tonight.

Juniors are classed as being born after January 1st 1991 - would that make any of the Sixth Formers inelgible for the Junior Competition?

Personally I think any sixth formers should be allowed to enter Junior events given that this is not an ITSF event.

It would make those sixth formers in Year 13 (upper sixth) who are born between September and January ineligible. But yeah, Steve's right, as it is a non-ITSF event it should be open to 18 and unders which would encompass ALL sixth formers.

I will of course work hard to get my mates to come along for at least the friday night :)

I expect all Sixth Formers to be classed as Juniors. perhaps the definition of a Junior should be anyone born after September 1st 1991?

Possibly Chris, I'm not really sure though - hoping to make it along on Friday with a few mates so you could ask around then?

hi all,

Alina and I were hoping to be there this week but she is stuck in heavy traffic and is still an hour from home so looks like we are not going to make it :(. We hope to put in an appearance again soon - but unfortunately we will not be able to make the big tournament, at best I may pop in on the friday on my way past to say hello but won't be able to stay :( .

Cheers Brendan - if you or Alina know of any other ladies that may want to take part in the Women's competitions it would be great as they are short of players for the womens.
