Sorry but Boro Sports Bar is shut again this Friday. Some of us will be at the Cricketers and perhaps it is time to investigate alternative venues. At present the Boro is only open on Friday's when another event is on eg. usually a party of a darts match. the darts matches do not start until September. there is not enough custom for them to justify opening on a Friday. Midweek it is usually shut unless there is a match on in which case there is propbably not enough room for table football practice. Derek suggested looking at the Hayrick as a possible venue - this needs to be followed up.

Cricketers is a blocky feet Garlando, with springs, a glass top, and bad light - a classic pub football table.

Looking like a new venue.
Where is The Hayrick? - can we have a look before I go to the Cricketers tonight?
Paul forgot to mention the lumpy balls at The Cricketers

Seeing as I have good condition tables at the barrels in Hereford (albeit speed balls and telescopic rods), I'll give it a miss then.

Great table at The Cricketers.
They took the glass off, cleaned the table, oiled the bars and polished the balls.
Still blocky feet with springs with a couple of suspect balls - but 1,000,000 x's better.
A good night with loud music and a few locals playing.

Yes - we have checked out a couple of pubs and the Hayrick are keen to have us in their Conservatory where there is good lighting. We can trial this is we want to. Although it has been very good in the Cricketers the last two weeks

Is the Boro open this week Paul?

I haven't played for ages,

Table football is fast becoming something I 'used' to do.
