Warwick Doubles Series 2007

Post by fool_on_the_hill » Fri Jan 12, 2007 6:37 pm

Warwick BFA Tour 2007

The University of Warwick Table Football Society will be running a national ranking series of events throughout this calendar year. We plan to have two events this term, one at the end of the summer term (in June, after Oxford) and one or two in the Winter term.

Venue:
the bar, Rootes Social Building,
Main Campus, University of Warwick,
Coventry.
CV4 7AL

There will be one WC table and three olympic silver tables with WC rods and the glass removed. All tables will have the new yellow Garlando balls.

The first two dates are:
Thursday 8th February
Thursday 8th March

The first event will be limited to 40 players (pre-reg required), without which we wouldn't be able to run the event in one evening. It will kick off at 6:30 and consist of one Open Doubles event: Groups followed by DE.

Entry fees (per person) are as follows:
Nov/Am - £2
Semi-Pro - £3
Pro/Pro-M - £5

Pre-reg here

Pre-registration is compulsory, to allow us to enforce the player limits.

Awesome work by the warwickites yet again.

One question for the moment, if an AM is enterign with a Pro is it the same price for both players (both pay pro fees). Or will it be 5 for pro and 2 for AM??

Are you expecting 25 or more from warwick to take part and limiting the total to 40, or 40 people from outside warwick to enter.

40 people TOTAL. We're expecting at least 20 people from Warwick to take part, so best to be quick with the pre reg once it opens - and yes pre reg will be open to both outsiders and Warwick students at the same time to make it fair for everybody. Remember to only pre reg when you've got your partner sorted though.

Sounds nice. If I get a partner, I'll come along.

Pre-reg now open

Remember, pre-reg is compulsory for this event, and there is a limit of 40 entrants.

a) yes
b) yes
c) yes

I said I may be being thick but that was my way of saying something (not me!) went wrong. Could be my bad for being too quick off the mark (just got back from Warwick A vs Chetwynd B and as if by magic, theres the pre-reg announcement)

My bad. There was a minor code error that didn't faze Firefox but made IE spaz out. Should be working in all major browsers now.
