Chetwynd Christmas Tournament 2006 on December 22nd

Post by Paul Addison » Sat Dec 09, 2006 12:59 pm

Will take place on December 22nd. It is, however, only for Chetwynd regulars. If you are not sure if you are classed as a regular send an application form to Bill Ormerod.

The tournament will be a DYP with players being drawn from two pools - one for defenders and one for forwards.

There is to be a debate next Friday as to whether the Snake should be banned for Christmas. We cannot debate this on this forum as too many players do not use the Internet.

The Chetwynd regulars would also like to thank the positive comments that have recently been made about last year's competition. Nice to know that so many players keep themselves up to date with current affairs.

Stop being such a bloody Scrooge Paul.

Christmas comes but once a year and if you are going to have a tournament then it should be open to one and all, the more the merrier.

Only 2/3 people shoot the snake at The chetwynd so this is hardly going to be a fair debate/vote.

Happy Christmas

Still if it stops Worthington winning it's got to be a good idea...

It would certainly include Victoria and Suki if they can make it.
I am glad you value their input.
Maybe we can debate this via ter internet

Scott says
"Its all about compromise, so we (Peterborugh) will give up the snake & brush if you give up the stick pass and tic tac (Hi Bill) 8)

This now sounds interesting

Are you up for it?

PS Are P'boro players classed as regulars for this closed xmas tourney

Ban all pin shots. I'm happy with that. More than happy.

Ban all the higher ranked players.

And give us amateurs a chance for a change  :)

Ban handles, shooting from the 2, 5 or 3 and only allow goals scored from back pins that roll over at least 540 degree!.

Excellent - I love it when people make a point and put everyone in their place.

So I am all for leaving things alone - you have my vote.

Or we could play slam as a second tournament.

Or all forwards play defence and vice versa.

Friday 29th

Who is going to turn up on Friday 29th?
We could start earlier and play a match  - are there enough visitors out there to make up a team and play The Chetwynd?
