Warwick Gophers B vs. The Chetwynd - Friday 1st December

Post by fool_on_the_hill » Mon Nov 27, 2006 3:38 pm

We've arranged a match for the B team on the same weekend as our A team's big game against Oxford Uni. We have such a great batch of freshers this year we wanted to give them a taste of competitive foos early on, and the Chetwynd are always a great team to play.

Warwick Gophers B

Harry Cummings (C) (67) and Gerald Tan (F)
Chris Haigh (152) and Rich Marsh (F)
John Harvey (287) and Josh Meyer (449)
Chris Andrews (534) and Colin Fallon (F)
Luke Ashley (F) and Elliot Cole (F)

Coach: Steve Lyall :)

This should be a great game. I know that some of the A Team are coming just to spectate (or possibly just for the food). I'm really looking forward to playing, and seeing how our Freshers stand up against the veterans.

Obv. Watch out for these names in the next few years, this year's recruitment has been awesome.
I'll probably be there to watch what should be a really fun match.

Hmm... If I want to come and watch, should I go to Nuneaton or Warwick?

Sounds like it will be a fun game, go Chetwynd!!

Will try to let you know what the Chetwynd team is once I am sure who is available. This may well be on the night.

Its ok Steve, I dont really want to be another brush pass, snake player.  I'll stick with my hacking, fluff, fluff again, euro2fakey, fluff, lucky goal series.

Lyall has the same social skills as Vader but he can't shoot/score that often from the back.

So the Vader title would have to go to the likes of Tom Burdett or Tom Hampson.

This is a tough one as they all look and play the same apart from that Nubbert boy who could be a kind of Yoda that is fighting the darkside (Warwick) himself 8)

This year's fresher intake definitely has anti-darkside potential. Are you going to be playing Paddy? I want to see Elliot's chip pass / tap bang combo fist you 8)

I have been flying a flex wing microlight for the past 3 years in the UK & France.
I am now going for a full PPL so i can buy a part share in a Cessna.

And to get back on topic -

What are they thinking?
No need for any Warwick freshers to feel nervous now
