Some excellent and highly competitive games. Really nice to see Jee Ha again. Hinckley does have a railway station and the Holywell is just up the road from it. If you travel from Birmingham Hinckley is the next stop after Nuneaton on the way to leicester.

This was to be the final Chetwynd mini-tournament before moving to the Holywell in Hinckley. Our thanks must go to everyone who has ever played at the Chetwynd. There have been many great competitions and new friendships established. Not forgetting the Chetwynd Tournaments which for many were the first tournament they ever played in. Also the terrific matches between the Chetwynd and Oxford, Cambridge and Warwick Universities. Perhaps the best ever being Oxford's 16-15 victory on sweat ball in the final game. Also the matches with other pubs in the two year's the National League has been running.

Special thanks for Duffy and Yvonne, Ian and especially dawn for putting up with a desperate attempts to finish off each tournament before they put the lights out.

The Holywell will eventually match the Chetwynd and already has the advantage of space for three tables and room for tournaments involving up to 20 tables. we hope to see many regulars there soon.

The final competition saw the very welcome return of Jodie and Scott. Some shock results and a graet victory for Josie and Scott. Well done - the last ever winners of a Chetwynd mini tournament.

Team     Won Lost F A GD Pts
Jodie&Scott       4 1 21 13 8 20
Chris & Alina     3 2 21 12 9 15
Brendan&Steve  3 2 21 18 3 15
Paul A&Dom      3 2 18 17 1 15
Bill & Paddy       2 3 16 20 -4 10

RIP The Chetwynd. Surely for many years the finest place for table football.

A truly welcoming crowd, all standards catered for, near where I live etc etc etc.

I will be attending the new place very soon. I hope that some of the guys do not stop atending with the move (I'm thinking Phil....)

It is probably quicker to get to - closer to the M69/A5 exit than the Chetwynd was to that or the M6 I suspect.

Its always great to see Phil and we hope he comes to the Holywell. We have kept him informed of everything via e-mail but have not heard from him (other than his vast collection of jokes) and he has hardly been at the Chetwynd since last June. I think he has problems getting off work. So, Phil if you are reading this do not feel left out. We have not forgotten you and I think you understand the reasons for leaving the Chetwynd better than most.
