Hola

Mel phoned me tonight so I took the opportunity to ask him and here is the deal.

He owns 2 Lowen's...one is in Portsmouth or somewhere and the other is in Kidlington. He doesn't want to move the one in Kidlington out of the venue even for a day (fair enough)...but he would be very happy to ask the owner of the Private Members club if we can crash his club for an evening. He imagined that the owner would say yes.

How's that?

By the way...can Oxford Uni students/exstudents etc please remember that 8th week doesn't mean much to non Uni people! Can we talk normal calendar speak pleaseeeeeeeeeeeee!!! Fanks! xx

I'm not here for the middle of next week (11th-16th) so maybe the week after (18th-22nd)? Is that 9th week? If not then I would happily let someone else organise for the 11-16th!!

'Sir Richard' you mean? n00b.  :P

And I'll be around 'til the end of eleventh week. Never tried a Lowen. Am curious.

Sir Richard is hardly a n00b - he reached the OD final last time he played in a full tournament.

Yes, he did play in one of the Oxford Garlando tournaments.  I think Boris might be thinking about the 1999 Tornado tournament at The Chequers where Sir Richard won Open Doubles with Phil Renato.

Cheers,
Rhys

Richard isn't big fan of garlando. Phil Renato turned up out of the blue to one of the Wolfson OxOpens and a guy from Dirk from Wolfson was lucky enough to end up with him.

I'm can't even think about it till next week after the festival - woo hooo!

If someone wants to call Mel Walley in the meantime then please email me for his number. It's just a trip to Kidlington - not a huge amount to arrange.

9th week is not particularly great for me, but then neither is most of June - so I'll come along if I can make it at the time I guess.

i'll play if someone gets the Lowen

and the extra goalies on a tornado can be annoying but don't change the whole game
