Cambridge V Warwick, 28th Feb

Cambridge V Warwick

For anyone interested, Warwick's finest will be travelling up to King's College, Cambridge this weekend to engage our rivals in a spot of foos. We are taking 8 people and will be playing 24 games (16 doubles, 8 singles, 5-3 in each) over the course of the afternoon on 2 Garlando tables.

I shall report the results here afterwards. Special thanks to Captain Matt Taylor and to Jon May for helping organise this. I hope that a Warwick V Cambridge match can become a tradition of our University years.

A spot of sightseeing might be the order of the day whilst we're there as well. King's College:

looks just a bit tasty.

Final result:

Cambridge 7 - 17 Warwick

Good match and a fun day in a town I've not visited before. Thanks very much to Matt Taylor for hosting the match and to both him and Jon May for organising it. Matt has the more detailed results, but the Warwick team that went was:

Rich Marsh (c)
Alan Truong
Adam Baker
Chris Lyall
Christian Glaus
Dan Merzon
Scott Spearman
Tom Willetts

Good luck against Oxford next weekend guys!

Ok, explain to me how Adam Baker is still part of a university team?

I think he must be attempting to break Mark Newson's record for the longest doctorate...
Still going....

I believe Adam finished his PhD a while ago now - he's now doing a post-doc.
