The Meaty Belushie's Bath

Post by joshjaeger » Mon Jun 18, 2012 12:38 pm

The Bush band have been coming over to Belushie's in Bath for the last month or so and we have had some great nights. The Bar is nice enough with the odd influx of young drunk students. The food is very American with massive meaty portions of ribs, wings and burgers. Oh and Nachos with half a cow on top. The beer is the usual offering.

The Table is a very sweet ITSF Tornado on a 50p vend and from this week there will be extra special table lighting.

OH Yeah and this Thursday the manager has said we can have 10 pints of beer on the house.

I'll be there from about 7:30

Hi josh,
As no one else has posted and as no need for me to get James etc
I am not going to drive so its easier for me and al to hit bristol.
However will def be there next week when Jim is back.
If we get lots of people coming in next hour or two can always change our mind.

Well that was a bit of a sureal night out with Al.

It seemed like at least 50% of all the people in bristol were in fancy dress, some sort of student thing I suppose but some were quite creative like about 15 people in a group dressed as every character johnny dep has ever played.

We also stumbled into the Walkabout on corn street which was rammed with such student types in fancy dress going potty to the Wurzels who were doing a live gig in there!
It was very weird seeing vikings, mexicans, various johnny deps, pac man and the things he chases, various super heros etc all dancing and singing "i got a brand new combine harvester " and "drink up the cider" . I particularly liked the cover version they did of the Kaiser Chiefs Ruby Ruby Ruby where immediately after the courus of Ruby Ruby Ruby they would all sing ooh arr ooh arr ooh arr in a Bristol /somerset accent, superb!

We then bumped into Rob Davey about 11.30 also out partying.

Almost as good fun as Foosin.

Had a fun but frustrating night at The Elbow Rooms in Shorditch last night. Company was grand but the table condition and lighting were less than conducive to great play. Can't wait to get back to the floodlights at Belushi's. See y'all tomorrow night.

Good night at Belushis with Josh and matt hogging the table a bit! Must have been the beneficial effects of a trip to london. The light over the table continues to impress each time as it does make a hell of a difference.

Impending parenthood means I will be off the scene for a while. When we are back on dry land again I'll let you know. I will of course keep the table in sweet playing condition and encourage the rest of the Bath clan to come along. Looking forward to walking back out onto the pitch under floodlights in the not too distant future.
