Martyn - probably best address these comments at the operator, rather than assuming they will read them here.

Just general obs at £1 a play, nothing more. Didn't mean to hijack thread. I'll return to snooze mode.

I've had a rethink Dave.

Ask the operator whoever they are to consider £2 a game, that way if take up falls by 50%, the revenue will be the same. £4 a game would work too following the same principle. No thanks needed.

Indeed Juan there must be some upper limit on what the market will bear .

however what if instead of 200 games a month and £100 at 50p normal take it falls to 150 games but £150 a month at £1 per game?

Then the operator whoever they are would probably leave it at that i suspect.

Obv if games fell to less than 100 they would change it back i also suspect.

There are also two markets that of the regular keen player (the 50p market) and that of the occassional player for a laugh/bored (£1 maybe ) player. For example in an airport i would bet money £1 a play would consistently do far better in terms of cash return than 50p per play. However put a £1 table in the rainbow and they would probably just move to another venue at 50p.

£1 play but for twice as many balls at 50p is an option. Casual players still have to put in £1, but get two games for that - existing players are likely to play more than one game anyway.

I shall now leave you Bristolians to it.

Can't be done with a Tornado. They only release 9 balls. This is the problem.

Unfortunately, the White Harte is not going to be able to take the table now it's been plastered with cheap yet permanent seating in an attempt to sell more slightly dodgy food. Not enough room.

With that in mind, we're looking for a new venue in a similar area for a 50p Tornado in brilliant condition.

I am now massively regretting suggesting to Alexi that she meet up with you guys, after she expressed an interest in the Junior World Cup team and a want to practice in preparation for it.

I really should have known better with the likes of Rob Davey. I cannot use the excuse of hindsight as it was really just obvious.

So I must take full responsibility over this incident. I'm hanging my head in shame right now  .
