The Bank is dead long live the Crown!!!

Post by Oatsey » Sat Jan 19, 2008 2:44 pm

Yes we have now secured a new venue to replace the Bank.
Spookilly it is also in Keynsham just down the road!

We installed two tables in there today one Tornado and one World Cup garlando both in top condidtion of course! and with proper barenhertz  balls etc
This means it is the only venue in the Bristol area  where you can practice for both the main types of tournaments!!!!!

Holleywell and Oxford better watch out for some of those Bristol boys improving a bit on garlando!

The tables are again in a small room of their own but this time on the ground floor just off the bar.

In due course we will be holding regular BYP,s in a multi table format and I need to change the bank shield to the Crown shield!

Also the Crown has some good accomodation about 4 or 5 rooms with ensuite etc so people who want to come to the BYP can stay over if they want , there are a several pubs and restaurants in Keynsham to try after the foosin or hit the town in central bristol not far away!!

The tables are in now so you can go and use it straightway to practice for Liverpool but over the next few weeks we will be improving some things like the lighting , put up the foos dude and tart the place up a bit but its still ok in the meantime.

As per the Bank regular nights will be Tuesdays starting on 29/1 (as I can't make it next week and some plays in  Kentucky) so get that date in your diary and I hope many of you local guys will make the effort to come out and play some foos and support this venue so we don.t lose it.

Feel free to come out and try it next week though  as I expect james and a few others may be there if they knew a few were coming.

Thanks.

This is great news. Hopefully we'll see more multi-table venues appearing around the country (obv Warwick are trendsetters).

I dont think you should change the Bank shield to the crown, i think you should just change it to a crown. Well a pair. Would be good to wear one to celebrate.

St. Peters college JCR, Oxford. Two tables: one Garlando RWB one Tornado. 1998-1999 (or close too, please confirm ARG). Most of the current Warwickites were in nappies I believe.

Good work Bristol Boys.

Actually I like Mase's idea, two crowns with KING OF FOOS on would be appropriate for the winners and if its a womens event obv QUEEN OF FOOS if Hannah doesn't mind.
