What's happening dudes?

I'm up for a bit of foos tonight, I'd usually go down the rising , but is it worth going down the turtle?

Just to let you guys know I'm back working in Reading for the next 6 weeks if anyone's around and fancies some games.

I should be down the turtle for a few hours friday night 9pm to 11pm, if you fancy a few games.

Will be working in Maidenhead from now on, so am quite close...

And to top that they've now reduced the number of balls from 10 to 5.

Five eggs for 50p, woohoo.

I spoke to one of the guys who maintains the table at the Turtle and he was trying to tell me how the orange balls were WC balls. Yikes.

I was at the Turtle a couple of weeks ago and the table had orange Tornado balls - have they changed these, then?

Those are Tornado balls?
I presumed they were the original orange balls that come with most Garlandos these days. How can you tell the difference?

I'm pretty sure the balls in there now are the same as have been in there since they removed the WC 04 balls.

They're heavier than normal Garlando balls and slightly rough to the touch.

btw Any Reading foos on offer this Saturday?

That makes sense actually. The orange Garlando balls I played with at school never stopped rolling as much as these do, we're always having to tip the table up to get them going again. I remember the Garlando balls being bigger, and almost soft.

Are there even any venues worth playing in Reading now?
I refuse to pay 50p for five balls at the Turtle. They were pushing their luck already when they removed the 04 balls, and now this?!

NEWSFLASH!

Balls remain the same but we're back to ten now. There must have been an uproar between Monday and today!

Are you sure that five balls didn't just get stuck in the mechanism last time you had a game?

Take a screwdriver & undo the two screws near glass.

Slide glass back, put 5 or more balls in goal mouth.

Slide glass back.

Insert 50p

They were certainly stuck in there somewhere. I spoke to one of the guys at the turtle and apparently he put some more balls in, put 50p in the table and then out came twelve balls! Which was weird. Anyway, back to twelve now.

I presume you didn't come down on Friday Andrei. There were a few people about, myself and Bill included but I only turned up at 1am! There wasn't really a big turnout besides my work lot.

Bill and I play foos in the turtle on Sunday evenings now 8:30pm. We've played about 3 times on sundays in the last 4 weeks. If anyone want to join us.

Sweet. I'm in. After my dismal performance at the Holywell open I could do with some Garlando practice.

Except I just picked up a shift this Sunday... rubbish.
You say you've been there the last few weeks so I presume this is a regualr thing? I always thought Sundays would be a good day for foosin'.

Should be a bunch of Reading locals in the Turtle this afternoon from 2pm if anyone's interested.

Ben - are you and Bill still playing in the evenings?
