Hello,

I'm in reading for the next 3 weeks. Any table football nights or anything interesting happening?

If there is, can someone tell us too please???
We've heard there's a scene in Reading but have yet to find it - we've been to the purple turtle on a few nights but never had any luck.
If anyone fancies a night at the purple turtle, or anywhere else in reading, then count us in!

How about tonight in the Purtle?

Drinks are usually on offer so there's usually at least something resembling a crowd plus I could probably drag a few people along.

Although it will probably be quite late, but then that's what the Turtle is good for!

Let me know what you think.

the risings table is unplayable,
the best table in a venue is at plug n play

The Turtle table is legendary... for its badness. But hey, you get good competition, wicked music and... the worst toilets in the world!

Could definitely do tomorrow, although will probably be there tonight too.
You'll have to forgive my Bloop-poor foosball skills though, I'm now rather accustomed to playing on the Roberto Sport which is a pin-fest compared to the ultra slickness of the PT table, am I right in thinking it's a FAS?

Anyway, look forwarding to seeing any of you soon!

agree on rubbishness of turtle table - last time we were there the handle was hanging off, stuck on with tape!
let's meet there anyway tomorrow, and if it's really unplayable we can head somewhere else,
look forward to seeing any of you tomorrow, we'll be there 7.30 ish

I'm surprised there was nobody there Monday, altho it's not usually til late that you get a crowd. Around midnight onwards generally. Couldn't make it myself due to lazy housemates!

If anyone does read this in time though, I should be there tonight after ten with a few people.

Outrageous! My friend tells me that Raf was there last night, probably sometime after 9 tho. I was there earlier tonight (just got home in fact) and there must have been at least ten of us playing. Some decent competition too, nobody that special though.

Look foward to bumping into you there!

Strikes me we're all destined to be in there at different times. Maybe next week.

Awesome, where did you hear this stumpy?
Would it be inappropriate to ask the manager at PT when the new table is coming in, or basically, should this not be generally known about?

I presume it'll be a Coperto, right?

New table is in now. Feels strange to play on compared to the old FAS.

Although it really did have to go. Last weekend it didnt even sit flat on the floor - and of course you usually can only get 8 balls out of it unless you give it a good ole shake!

Now we just have to get used to the ball rolling in around behind the keeper!
