Yes, damn those private parties!! We found a pub with one of the worst tables I've ever played on; block foot Garlando, warped pitch, egg balls. We played 4 games and switched to the quiz machine. Fingers crossed for this Tue.

Dan, I can't remember the name of the pub... I just followed Mike! Sorry I should have clarified that it was one of the worst tables I've ever played on with the exception of Bonzini

Fingers crossed for no private parties tonight!!

The Maple Leaf in Covent Garden. It used to have a Fireball, so imagine our joy when we discovered a good old Garlando glass top had been placed there instead! Complete with traditional unmovable (never been lubed) telescopic rods and shoved in the corner like all good garlandos seem to be. Just when I thought we could get no more old school, we realised it was unlevelable. Oh how the years rolled back!

You Molly coddled, Lilly livered Foos snob. What's wrong with a few beer mats or a folded up bit of paper? And in my day we made do with rubbing the inside of a packet of crisps on our rods. Or if you were really brave asking a young lady to borrow her chapstick. :P and we played with the roundest conker we could find on our way home from pit. After a 25 hour day...
