Welcome to the Irish Foosball Scene

Post by Jude » Thu Jun 15, 2006 10:54 pm

Welcome to the forum which has been set up to cater for our neighbours across the Irish sea, and indeed my own countrymen and women.

As the Irish Foosball Association (IFA) does not yet have among its membership the requisite experience to manage an internet forum, the BFA Committee has kindly responded to a request from the top Irish players to host this forum until an IFA managed forum is in place.

The purpose of the forum is to facilitate communication between the Irish players and so publicise any existing regular haunts, give players the chance to make contact with others, and to ultimately grow the game. With a following wind, it could develop into the countrywide game it was in the early 1980's.

So thanks again to the BFA Committee and let's hear from you Irish foosers - lets get things going again.

Jude FitzGerald
Secretary
British Foosball Association

This is so cool!

Thanks to Jude for going to the BFA and thanks to the BFA for being as helpful as ever to the Irish.

There are times like The World Cup where is doesn't seem right for us to do our write ups on the main BFA forum.  I know there are players who wouldn't mind, but then there must be players who don't know us so they don't really care.

Hope people make use of this one

Louise

does it count if you're only part-Irish but you know some of the players?

If you're coming over to Ireland to play, certainly! the thread's main purpose is to support the playing of foosball in Ireland.
