Fireball Open Partners Needed

Post by richmarsh » Mon Sep 20, 2010 8:53 am

Sorry if there is already a thread for this somewhere (I didn't see one).

I need partners for OD, SPD, HD and Mixed.

I'm a semi-pro in Fireball rankings.

Would prefer to play attack as usual but I'm happy to play at the back if necessary.
PM please.

Thanks

I need a Mixed partner, a 2 ball roller ball partner (potentially) and a handicapped doubles partner.

I'm Pro on 'fireball rankings'.

PM me.

I need an OD and Handicap partner/s. This weekend at Darlington has re-kindled my love of playing in goal, so looking for a confident forward.

I'm after partners for Open Doubles, Handicap Doubles and 2-ball. I prefer playing in attack but don't mind swapping a lot or being in goal.

Marta is in need of partners for Amateur and Novice doubles. She is 100% defender, so needs a forward.

IMO she'll be one of the favourites in ND, and should do very well in AD, with a good partner. For anyone who doesn't know she has a very solid defence and a really good 2 bar pull shot series (at Darlington she probably was the highest scoring player in AD...only playing at the back).

She doesn't have a Britfoos account, so any offers (or if you know anyone looking) PM me and I'll pass the message on.

Cheers.

SP needing fireball partners, maybe for everything. Decent at the back, abysmal up front. Willing to make tactical swaps for epic lulz.

Basically you can partner anybody you like (it's not restricted like in Pro-Am). The highest-ranked player in the team determines the rank of the team (so if a Semi-Pro plays with a Pro it counts as a Pro team). The format is then first to 7 goals with the lower-ranked team starting with a headstart:

Novice team vs Pro team: start 3-0 up
Nov team vs SP team: start 2-0 up
Nov team vs Am team: start 1-0 up

Am team vs Pro team: start 2-0 up
Am team vs SP team: start 1-0 up

SP team vs Pro team: start 1-0 up

Hence the name 'Handicap' since the better team is being handicapped to level the playing field. I don't believe Handicap events are currently worth any ranking points (unlike Pro-Am).

Friend of mine (Tomas Purgal) is looking for a partners. He is a novice in Fireball ranking but as he isn't a regular tournament player his ranq is irrelevant. I'd say he is a semi-pro level (on G - at the back)

He'd prefer to play at the back obv.

PM me if interested.

Thx

Hi Mark,
If you're still looking for a doubles partner for semi pro I'm available. Please let me know one way or another as soon as possible. I believe for this tournament we old semi pros are classed as amateurs but 'whatever'.
