Finally this thread ends on a happy note. I'm not really bothered at you Neil, I was just in a filthy mood this morning and for some reason your posts just seem to enrage me further. I do love you cheeky Cambridge chaps really.

Love and hugs

Dave

I had a chat to shovo tonight. He said he really thought it was a rubbish rule until he came to Oxford, in part because he thought he would be rubbish with it. History suggests not, prob because he adapted his game with great ease.

All I can suggest is that anyone who disagrees with the rule goes and plays a reasonable length match on a Garladno without it. I played Brian Harms on WS tables at Burnley, and spent most of our time raising the bars after defensive shots got blocked. This was the complete opposite of a "good" game, and both of us got frustrated. NUFF said...

I had been avoiding reading this post as I thought I would find mindless arguements and whinging and I was right. But being called upon to say whether we (OSTFC) can afford to populate Oxford with blinking world cup spec tables I say certainly not. Also keep the blocky feet say I and while I am at it let's keep Oxford rules and have none of that faffin with the 5 bar and as I have no skills I'm well up for a no stopping rule!! What you reckon the Oxford Elite (Dan, Dave and Matt)?

Especially since against Trinity last night they didn't get a single point between them. Yep, you heard me - 5-0!!! They may have won the league, but we got the last laugh :-)

So the Merv thing is catching on, eh Merv!!!

Awesome!

I give up in singles, and while the opponent controls the ball in defence, I put their men up for them to save time.
What a stupid rule..

No, its true, you are indeed the greatest team in the known universe. Such a shame that Craig stuffed up the tactics. You could have been rightly seen as probably just about the best people that ever lived. Now, sadly, its not to be.

You're right - my not being considered awesome is entirely Craig's fault! Damn him!

Alex, I recomend you don't tout John as your clone, having seen his current foos ability against Trinity. And he was trying SO hard - the whole season was on the line, and the presure got to him, and he bottled it horribly. Or something like that.

The one thing that is certain is that Trinity DEFINITELY have the last laugh.

After 7 years of reflection I've decided that I also disagree with that rule.

I have also discovered I like ham.
