Chair's Blog
Hey all!
I'm bringing back the Chair's Blog. I want there to be more communication from the BFA committee this year, and this is one of the ways we're going to do this. So if you fancy a read, see below;

Nice updates Joe.
How many UK tournaments are planned (roughly...) to take place before the November UK championships?
I'm a fan of using POY to select one spot for each category, but it seems a little challenging to get an accurate ranking within that time frame (especially if someone can't make a particular weekend).
Not wanting to dig up old discussions (ahem), but just to clarify - international events will not contribute to the POY points, right?

Re: Chair's Blog
There is a plan to have, at least, 4x tournaments being included in the poy ranking. This will include the ukc itself. Only UK tournaments will count towards poy.
I know this isn't an ideal number of events, but with poy only counting for 1 of 4 qualification places available, we felt it would be good to offer an alternate qualification route outside of the ukc.
We'll of course try our best to announce tournaments counting for poy as early as possible. The first is Birmingham, and hopefully we'll be able to announce the next one in the next couple of weeks.
