The new balls don't seem to last, Brendan brought one to the oak last Friday which was egg shaped after a bit of use.

If we do not use the ITSF approved ball the ITSF may not be able to accept the tournament results.

I think we should discuss all ball issues alse where. The issue has been made aware to the organisers, who are dealing with it. Until they have an answer from ITSF/GARLANDO there is no point clogging up this thread.

I agree this is an issue...but i think it should be discussed somewhere more suitable.

I don't understand why the thread was split. This isn't a theoretical discussion about balls, it's a question about whether the tournament can go ahead with ITSF status and on what terms.

The BFA Committee need to ask the ITSF for an urgent response to questions like these:

1) Can the ITSF arrange for a supply of the newly sanctioned Garlando ball?

2) If the newly sanctioned Garlando ball is not available for use, can the tournament still go ahead with ITSF Pro status?

3) If the newly sanctioned Garlando ball is not available for use, which balls are we permitted to use?

4) Do the ITSF guarantee to accept and process the tournament results if alternative balls are used?

Many were egg-shaped when brand new. Also the grip will go within a day or so.

Both are obvious manufacturing flaws which ITSF is "aware of" (this doesn't mean they will get fixed, of course).

My suggestion to ITSF is that they bring out a new ball to replace this one.

Yeah Dave

But shouldn't they at least have to spell or know that the red underline thingy on a page is a message to say they are thick or sommat!

If you see an ad for this on Facebook Please do not click it as it costs me per click - you guys already know about it so all you are doing is costing money. I've tried it as an experiment to see if it can bring in more new players.

Awesome! I have a nice little Auto Clicker app I use for getting impossible high score on various facebook games and annoying people like Mike Amsden. Can't wait to try it tonight when I get home drunk after winning OS between two players at LTFC!

Ball Announcement

We will be using the Warrior balls at this event. We have made this decision due to the high quality and control aspects of this ball (which improve on the failures on the speedplay ball) and the guarentee that we can have a supply of balls enabling us to make this announcement now.

We believe this decision will be the best for the quality of the games and player satisfaction.

Joe.

I'm just wondering if might be more sensible to use Garlando balls on Garlando tables?
