Very random question... I'm coming, and buying an amateur package. If I have a parter for mixed, who will play ONLY in mixed, what would the charges be, and will they have to pay table fees?

This may have been covered elsewhere, so I apologise in advance.

Will the events scheduled for Saturday, finish on Saturday? Or, is there a plan to let them roll on to be completed on Sunday?
If so, is there a plan as to which events will be completed on the Saturday.
I believe I have managed to get the Saturday free, and I will be looking to come along just for that day.

Hey I just spoke to Jon, and apparently we are going to be using heavy duty steel ball bearings, similar to these:

Hope this helps,

Hey,

Hope Jon wont be cross with me saying but I spoke to Dennis, he said that we are using the new Fireball Ball, they are anti chip, anti scuff and anti dent, there are questions over the controllability.

Mase, if we play, it's going to have to be one of yours, one of mine OK?

Any word on Friday day-time, and whether there will be any 'proper' events? I'd like to know in the next few days if possible, so I could book the day off work.
I appreciate you've probably got loads on, I know how busy you can be in the run up to an event and I've never run anything anywhere near as big as this will hopefully be. But any info would be appreciated by myself, and others I'm sure.
(also any word on the ball would be good too. My vote would go to Dave's 'leak' over Mase's, I think they'd suit my 5 bar more)

LOL re the balls.

Jon's been on a series of business trips - he should be back tomorrow, so will hopefully reply to all questions then.

I was asked by several Euro players who are wondering whether or not to come if estimated prize breakdowns could be provided based on pre-registrations.

There is no plan to run events over into Sunday morning's schedule, but I will not guarantee a finish time on Saturday night. The turnout of pre-registered players is already well over 100.

I have updated the first post with more info about Thursday and Friday. I have also announced the choice of ball.

Pre-reg is fully up to date.

Apologies for not replying sooner.

I think the pre-reg figures must be a record, anyone know?

Sounds awesome Jon. Thanks for adding a Pro-Am event - really hopeful I can make this weekend now. Poker sounds sweet too - just a quick one about that; has the buy-in/rebuy amount been decided?

To get from piccadilly station

Get the metro link to Piccadilly gardens from the station or walk (about 10 mins.
Then either the 41, 42, 142, 43, 143, 44, 157! Bus which all go from Piccadilly Gardens
You will go through Rusholme (lots of curry houses!)
Shortly after that you will see the sign for Manchester High School for girls, and then you're nearly there.
The bus stops just before Owens Park and if you miss that one just after Owens Park.

Alternatively, share a taxi, and make up for it in poker :)
