Travelling to Keele:

Keele is centrally located within the UK and enjoys excellent communication links for all types of travel. The University is situated two miles west of Newcastle-under-Lyme on the A525 road to Whitchurch, Nantwich and Crewe.

**On Campus parking will be available but is fairly limited and is usually Pay and Display (Students Union Car Park E & Visitors Car Park F are the closest).

By Car:

From the North: You leave the M6 Motorway at Junction 16, signed the A500/Alton Towers. At the motorway roundabout turn right onto the A500 for Crewe and Nantwich. The University is signed from here. At the next roundabout, go straight on A500 (A531) and at the next one turn left onto the A531 (A525) for Keele. After approximately 7 miles, turn right at the roundabout onto campus. From the motorway junction to Keele the journey time is about 20-25 minutes.

From the South: Leave the M6 at Junction 15 and follow the signs for the A519 into Newcastle-under-Lyme. The University is signed from the first roundabout, after leaving the motorway follow signs for the University and Science Park. Two miles out of Newcastle, turn left at the roundabout onto campus. From the motorway junction to Keele the journey time is about 15-20 minutes.

From the East: If you are travelling on the A53 follow signs to Newcastle-under-Lyme. If you are using the A50, join the A500 and then turn off on the A53 to Newcastle. Travel from the M1 is easiest using the new Junction 23A onto the Derby bypass and following signs for the A50.

From the West: Follow signs for the A525.
Online road maps of the area are available from UK Street Map* and from Multimap**.

I must say this event sounds spectacular and I think anyone that doesn't attend such a fine event shall be missing out. It almost makes me wish I was a student at Keele University so I could play against the fine foosball players that attend such an establishment.

(I'm looking forward to this a lot)

Yup, though don't know if we'll get enough juniors to run the events....as normal.
There'll be lots of Novice events though, and very low entry fees, so I would still recommend you make this your 1st tournament.

Swansea met fooze team having there first game thursday night down mumbles. Who knows how good we'll be in a months time. If the new players fancy a trip up to play some pros then I'll leave it up to them. I'll have to count myself out otherwise as it's my mum and sisters birthday that weekend. But if they want to drive up then I'll have to go with them.

Oxford shows it's inherent lack of fun by removing the 'x'...

I'd like to propose to the organisers that they allow Boris to enter SS and SD so that he can have the chance to train for the senior world cup, and have the oportunity to play with someone from the senior team, and vice versa. Is that OK with all the seniors?

Seeing as it's the new sporting year, isn't the new boundary for seniors born on, or before, 31/12/1959? In which case I believe Boris will be eligible anyway, and would not need any special dispensation.
Though someone more in the know may well have to correct me if I'm wrong.

Ah OK. Boris will know bettter than anyone.

Hmmm...if that's true then it would be useful to identify and alert all of the newborn senior players...who can do that?
