Martyn wrote:Murray - well, you might want to change the name of this thread soon, he looked the real deal to me and I believe at his very very best he has the game to take the title (and of course he will also have the crowd).
Changing the title at this point would probably be tempting fate a little too much.

Re: Want the chance to be in a TV commercial?

There is no fee for the audition, but if selected the fee will be £1000 + expenses. To me, the fee seems a bit low if they genuinely want someone who can do the tricks which will be used as a significant part of a significant major brand campaign. If someone is going for it then I would consider tr...

Re: Garlando vs Garlando

Fitz, the second a more experienced player starts pulling you up on something tell them to get a referee - and claim the goal - the worst that could happen is that they will call a referee, and he adjudicates that you shouldn't count the disputed goal. A lot of the time they won't bother and they wi...

The big question is why would Andrei edit his post 4 years after making it?

Lee. I don't think he means you shouldn't post as and when the feeling takes you :P Just generally forums tend to request or suggest you don't post a number of posts in a row. I.E wait for a response from someone else before posting again :D Then of course, feel free to post again in response. Acce...

Re: Forum Changes

I presume it's all to do with Boz's bizarre plan of making every post a "global" announcement, which appear at the top of every sub-forum. I presume it only updates the informaton for the topics actully in each forum and not for global posts copied there by the use of the global selection option.

£250-£300 What would you buy?

One of my friends is looking for a table at the moment. He's looking at £250-£300, and is happy enough going second hand for a table in good condition. He wants something to play with friends of a novice/amateur standard, pin shooting etc. What is the best deal/table people think he should be lookin...

Re: Table For Sale

Have you got a Roberto Sport instead? No just got the Fireball but since you came I have an antique writing bureau so one table always has to be on its end. The Fireball is staying in use so simply the Tornado should go. If I want to practice Tornado I can go to Crown or use my one in Karlo's Cheer...

Re: Help for Newbie re Repairs to Garlando Coperto

£150 is probably more than you want to pay from scratch. See what the table is like, have a few games then see how many you'd need to replace. Getting the bars out of a coperto without taking the handles off i I think impossible. Use a big mallet smacking off an adjustable screwdriver around the end...

Re: 11/12 Sep - UK BONZINI OPEN 2010 @ Bar KICK - Est. £1500

Craig, you and Andrei are not new players... Unfortunately I probably won't come - it's simply too much money to enter, when I've got basically no chance of winning anything. I don't really want to spend £40-£50 entering events to give someone else prize money. Hope the event is good for those that ...

And plenty probably don't have any recent contact details for Mike/Martyn.

I know when I have contacted Martyn over the last year it has always been via PM on Britfoos, and I haven't heard from Mike for years.

Re: UKM Post-Tournament

feel like they are seriously missing out if they don't show up. But in the end the only thing that really matters is getting more regular venues out there with people playing semi-competitive foosball. Without that, you'll never find any new players, and lives, jobs, kids, mortgages etc will slowly...

Re: Liverpool Open 2010

I would have thought £5 would be more appropriate for one day. However calling Boris retarded is unlikely to persuade him - I know for me I would be annoyed and dig into my position. Maybe a less confrontational style of request might have more effect? (Let's see...) Bozza, please, please, please, p...
