Re: Open-palm grip for beginners

Alex, The BFA site says: PIN SHOT The man traps the ball between his foot and the pitch before moving it sideways and shooting. - Pin the ball under the man's foot. - Make sure that the point of contact is at, or very near, the top of the ball. - This will prevent the ball from being squeezed out. -...

Anyone know what is happening on the 29th - would it be a good day to turn up and play some pick up games on the main table?

Re: Elbow Rooms, Shoreditch - 2 x Fireballs

If you want to play a Fireball in Shoreditch there is a little gem of a venue called 'The Strong Rooms Bar', which is literally opposite the Elbow Rooms. They have a Fireball table down stairs. Check their website for times when there are not gigs on. If the table is covered when you go ask the Bar...

Re: Collignon Interview

Good post as well by Dave Oates. The question is how to get the sponsor in - and anyone paying significant money will want to have a decent mix of a mass participation, a TV deal, an organised tour featuring all the best players (with a pyramid of regional/local events underneath), a credible govern...

Re: Missing Lost in Action

Can PM's (private messages) be seen by anyone other than the sender and the recipient? I don't think so (but then again I am not an admin so can not be definitive there. I definitely cannot see anyone's PMs. However, an admin can of course reset someone's password, so they would be able to access t...

I agree - Bloop is definitely a dirty word that has no place in table football.

Re: Missing Lost in Action

Please can we avoid personal insults. We have heard the reasons why the topic was moved, and to be honest this thread is quickly heading into the same territory. This is a shame as there are valid arguments on both sides, which deserve to be argued eloquently and coherently rather than descending in...

Rob, It has been moved to the "Moderator Bin" which means it still exists, but has been moved to a private forum that Admins, Moderators and potentially Committee members can see (however I am not sure about the Committee members). The last post was from Joe Bundy saying: "Locking this topic as it's...

Would there be any issue of passing off the British Foosball team as being in any way connected with the official British Olympic Association if the kit was worn in competition?

Re: London has a new multi-table venue!

£1 for the premium of a central london (zone 1) location is to be expected LOL, that's how the property bubble was built, expecting and accepting. Apathy costs! Simply say put it on 50p or we wont play and see what happens! Don't put up with it. Then they take the tables away if no one is using the...

I suppose there are people that have a price in mind and bid then forget about it. I have never bought anything through Ebay myself but had a friend from Hereford who got obsessed with winning and used to get caught up in bidding during last 10 minutes of an item. and from http://forum.britfoos.com...

Re: New Format Idea

No no no. James' idea is to run a normal DE tournament and change the ending slightly. Wait until you have 2 players in the winners final, and 2 players left in the losers bracket (i.e. they're in the 4th-or-better match). Then ignore the rest of the DE and draw these 4 players into an SE with semi...
