I agree that we get better by playing the best. Maybe I was lucky, but I didn't have to PAY to enter a tournament to play Juj and see how to play with the 5-bar, and the same for Truncheon's Tap-bang and hell I learn the snake from a crappy video on some american site. Maybe my problem is with the t...

** Not by me of course, by the national papers. I have no knowledge of the activities of Mr Matthew Kelly in the 1970s.

I however have no respect for the man, I find his beard idiotic and I hate "Stars In Their Eyes".

For the record I also hated "You Bet!"

Call her "Monoclinic". And I'm at "Work" so I'm so bored that posting Rob Moss length messages is appealing compared to reciprocal lattices etc! And It's all good stuff! Sure, anyone who travels will have already paid £10 to £20 to travel, so £3 isn't much, but a package of maybe £15 is. Then don't ...

Thanks for the post Boris, and in this general forum, I'd like anyone to post who has an opinion on this subject. So here's the deal, with references to me so no "Well what are you doing to help it comments" please: Oxford player John Doe loves his table footy, is an ok player and sees a tournament ...

The poll is almost like saying if there were a nationally organised Free tournament in London, say (Free entry, free tables) would you go? or do you go (implying make the effort to travel) for the money. So few people will travel in this country to play (fair enough it's just a bar game) (I'm gonna ...

Paddy, that website says:::
In fact, Table Football is so popular that recently the 2002 UK Table Football Championships were held. Admittedly, the prize money wasn't up to much, but that's hardly the point is it?
Doesn't that imply people are in it for the fun, not the money???

And no pointless replies telling me no operator if going to do that, it isn't the point. It's about the concept, the mindset behind a player's coming to a tournament. For the record The Oxford Table Football Society (Cat, Dave and I) ran Singles cuppers for no monetary gain, with no entry fees and i...

Paying Entry fees.

Hello everyone, I just posted this in the local events forum (where I'd like it to stay Rich, as well as here!!!) but I realised I'd written quite a good post and if anyone has any view, can they please post them back in this forum to keep the Oxford cuppers results a bit neater! So here I go!::::: ...
