Re: Liverpool Open Pre-Reg

I am bringing some players who are coming to their first tournaments. I know we should have pre-reged them but it was difficult for them to sort partners for themselves (had to do some inter-Warwick/Keele partnerships for some) and honestly they did not know any better. Is there any way the package ...

Re: BFA AGM - 7pm Friday 27th January

OK, so what exactly is your proposal? Are you just suggesting reducing the number of available committee places, or is it more specific (reduce number of committee places to X). If the former, when and by whom will the decision of the exact number of places be made should your proposal be passed? T...

Re: Tornado just appeared with BIN £250

Potentially $150 for a Tornado if there are no bids. I'll have to keep an eye on that!

Re: BFA AGM - 7pm Friday 27th January

Thanks for your reply Martin! I was just curious as I wanted to measure the standing of KUFS compared to DTFC when you claim that it will be the largest and most successful club within the next 2 years possibly. I agree with you that getting the numbers up and introducing new people into the game is...

Re: BFA AGM - 7pm Friday 27th January

Next year or the year after when Darlington Table Football Club is the largest and most successful club in the UK I will be standing for the position of Chairman. Good luck everyone That is a very impressive manifesto Martin. I have one main question regarding your final point and that is how do yo...

Re: Liverpool Open 2012 - Announcement

I forsee that allowing Ams to play both AM/SP events and SPs to play SP/P events along with ITSF events may be a bit too ambitious and will lead to very large delays, I am all in favour for more events (well done Boris) but possibly with a more flexible tournament structure... While nobody is forcin...

Re: ITSF World Cup and World Championships, Nantes 2012

Can anyone kindly tell me if Junior Doubles have been played yet? Any news on Ben Greenfield & Alexi King? Meng, they didn't make it through the qualification stage. Unfortunately, they weren't able to win a game - rather like me and James in 2010! Results for JD are found here http://www.table-soc...

Re: BFA AGM - 7pm Friday 27th January

My name is Chee Meng Au and I am known more commonly within the community as Meng and I would like to stand for an ordinary BFA Committee position. I have been playing foosball competitively for a year now since joining Keele University Foosball Society (KUFS) when I was a fresher. Although not on t...

Re: Liverpool Open 2012 - Announcement

Surely the rationale of a referee is for equality and fairness yet if a charge is to be levied onto the victim of the inequality (cause the person cheating is clearly not going to ask for a referee) how is that going to be fair? Let's say I continuously jar Nubbert in a game, rub magnesium powder on...

Re: Liverpool Open 2012 - Announcement

No package for SPs? I'd assume the $5 off incentive still applies though right for SPs? Also it's quite funny to see there be a charge for referees. I'll be sure to play extra dirty and split the earnings with any refs who are interested. EDIT: Briefly, can someone confirm that the HCKB is actually ...

Re: Wrapping up a garlando handle

If I am not mistaken you can specify which type of handle you want under the TST scheme and one of the tables actually uses a constant radius handle (I'm not sure which it is, I think it might be a Leonhart) but I remember renting some for the Garlando Worlds. If not, you can actually, like you said...

Re: Results and Afterglow for the European Fireball Open 201

Before I forget I want to condemn Jonathan May for what was clearly the most stressful SPD partner you could give anyone. Reza was a good guy but he gave off such an Iranian Mafia Lord vibe that it wasn't even funny. Besides being such a large lump of MAN, he couldn't speak any English at all and wa...

As it is such a short notice, I am going to speak on behalf of Laura Thirsk and put her forward for selection. We do plan on attending the UKC anyways as the BFA Cup will be ongoing.

EDIT: Alright will do Bundy.
