Re: Bath Afterglow

Heya, thanks to Potts, Bundy and everyone who organised this and made it happen, one of the best tournaments I've ever attended and the most social. University champs were amazing and even though I didn't play in the pub event it was great to see it happen. Also, cheers for letting us all sleep roun...

The Tornado table says 'TQRNADQ' if you look closely, cunning.

Re: Should we use warrior balls at the Bath Spa Open?

There's a fine line between a ball encouraging a faster style of play or just being uncontrollable in all honesty. I struggle to think who really benefits when using a speedplay style of ball which when new is a nightmare to pin and when worn in doesn't even roll straight due to chipping; all you ge...

Re: Should we use warrior balls at the Bath Spa Open?

Barenhertz are better I feel but I much preferred the ball at Liverpool than the speedplays. I feel the ball at Liverpool went dead a horrendous amount, also.

Re: Liverpool Afterglow

Thanks to Bundy and Boris for organising this, the atmosphere was mint and I was never out of a game for too long. Considering this is my first Garlando tournament in well over a year and playing foosball a lot less recently meaning I can't snake or do a great deal, I feel I did alright though. High...

Re: Family Number

Completely misread the question somehow. For some reason I thought of "Keele" as referring to the society (as in members of the society being counted as a family number) rather then it referring to achieving a specific FN at the Keele tournament! In that case, 0 for me :(.

Re: Keele open afterglow

Cheers to Fitz, Bundy and everyone who helped out. It was a really strange tournament considering it was a minute from my room and in my SU. Highs: It's the 'Keele' Open! I got prize money somehow. A hotdog stall being by the shots bar for some reason. The ballroom didn't get that hot at all Lows: E...

Re: ITSF Tables

We had a Eurosoccer tournament in January 2006, but there are no plans for any more. Absolute Giganten was actually filmed on Löwen tables, similar to Tec-Ball or Leonhart. The problem with Eurosoccer is that the men are not counterbalanced and the rods are exceptionally smooth, meaning there is no...

Re: What can everyone do to help?

Why does it have to grow as a 'sport'? Whether or not I agree of this "sport" tag is irrelevant, all I know is that if I had been introduced as foos as a "sport" rather then "fun social game thats a focal point for people to have a laugh, but you can also be quite good at" then I wouldn't have conti...

Re: Disillusioned with table football

it wasn't really the game itself, its more the people around it for me. Sarah and all the Keele lot made me feel welcome, I thought the game was good enough craic, I played it a lot. Now I'm not that interested in it because there's not that many people around me who play it, I know I can go to Lond...
