Re: European Fireball foos-golf open 2011

Cool idea, but once you get down to the lower placings in OS, there are massive gaps between the finishing positions.

E.g., I predict Mase to finish =33rd, but he actually finishes =65th (which is only one 'position' worse).

How would that work?

So what's happening? It's past the deadline for BFA Cup team submission now - are the semi-finals on or not?

Re: InsideFoos and the European Fireball Open

I agree with Joe. As a middling UK Semi-Pro player, I have no expectation of being involved in the business end of the open events. Since I'm not particularly familiar with Fireball and am out of practice generally I also don't think I'll end up getting close to the podium in the SP events either. D...

Re: Tornado World Championships 2011 - Dallas, TX.

Thanks Joe, great stuff. Juj was shooting tic-tacs at the tornado tournament in Kingston recently too. He was scoring with a very high % even against some good players. Nice to see people having success with non-snake/pin/pull shots.

Is there somewhere we can watch the video footage now (for those of us who missed the live-streaming)?

I'm curious to see Joe's tic-tac game...

What were people shooting from the 3? Sounds like a good event, sadly I was busy last weekend and couldn't make it.

Re: Garlando Worlds 2011 - 28th- 31st July in Oberwart

Also Nubbert 17th in OS. Cracking work. Another 'unconventional' UK player joins the '17-club' (along with Me and Andrei RG, plus more conventional players like Dave M, Mike A and Joe H). He was close to winning it as well, losing sweat-ball in Game 4 after a dodgy restart decision... So is =17th t...

Re: The BFA Cup!

Hi, So Oxford are definitely going to be entering a team (I'll submit the form either today or tomorrow) - do we have to decide home table now? I don't know who exactly will be playing in the team since the semifinal is so far off that most people don't know for sure whether they can play. Similarly...

Re: Garlando Worlds 2011 - 28th- 31st July in Oberwart

Begs the question why have we had 3 years of lunacy around various other balls. The Magic balls were brilliant and although they had slight problems they are easily the best and most suitable Galando ball ever made. Yes. I wonder if the plan is to stick to the magic balls after the Garlando Worlds ...

Can you guarantee that a team entered from Oxford would play in the southern semi-final?

Re: Oxford Uni Old Boys vs Oxford Uni 28th May

Apologies for not posting this sooner, I was busy all of last week. As Andrei says it was a fun match although pretty one-sided (I make the final score 10.5 - 4.5 in favour of the Old Boys)... We had six on each side so played 9 doubles (each pair plays each opposition pair) and 6 singles matches. A...

Re: Oxford Uni Old Boys vs Oxford Uni 28th May

I think we've got enough players for the current uni team, plus Mike Hart and Pete F have said they're happy to play for either team. Unfortunately Merton College's bar doesn't open to serve drinks until 6 or 6:30 but if anyone wants to bring refreshments, beer etc. to the games room from outside th...
