Re: UK Championships - Filmed with commentary.

OK, first sorry if this is the stupidest question ever/has been addressed. But when you say commentary does that mean you sitting with a microphone next to the game and being like 'the crowd has gone silent... Ben has the ball on his 3-bar for the win... looks like he is going to go pull... ahhh, ha...

Re: UK Championships Pre-Registration and player list.

I could be wrong, or someone else could have flagged this already as other women have pre-regged - but there was no pre-reg for WD. Probably not needed, but just FYI..

Re: UK Championship Doubles teams.

I'm happy to 'choose' between WD and OD should the situation arise - not happy to not be allowed to play in the Opens if we make it.. Dave let me know if you are clarifying for me too please.

Re: Bar Kick open 2009 highs and lows..

The tournament was well put together, with a lot of effort from JP and others, done in such a short time... My main thoughts specific to this tournament: - Coming 2nd in OD - AWESOME. Would never have thought that would be our result. And I played in all positions (thanks Joe), which was nice. Obv w...

Re: BFA and DP

Again, the BFA is consolidating and rewriting the constitution - no-one in the BFA wants such things to happen. The job is extremely time consuming, and I have just started a new job, but it will be done soon. Once it is, it will be posted on the forum, so that everyone who cares and who has an inpu...

Re: BFA Rankings as at 1st August 2009

I am 35th on Bonzini??? Surely not.. I have played a serious game once in Nantes on the table and have been to Bar Kick once... I thought that being Pro on Garlando made me an Am on other tables... is that not right? It is a bit insane given I can't play on the table at all...

Re: The Bristol Major Afterglow

Great tournament - Mase managed to run so many events smoothly, and was always there to help and answer questions, which was truly amazing. And John/Joe and everyone else helping out. Was also great to have such a big mix of international players - Ryan gave us a mini tutorial session which was cool...

Re: The Major Partner Thread

Courtesy of Oli I think (you just keep giving): For the Handicapped doubles event, anyone can enter, and a team is counted as being the rank of the highest-ranked player in the team. Then: Novice vs Amateur starts 1-0 Novice vs Semi Pro starts 2-0 Novice vs Pro starts 3-0 Novice vs Pro Master starts...

Re: 3rd - 5th July - THE MAJOR ITSF MASTER SERIES @ Bristol

Categorically, definitely, absolutely not for solution 1, for so many reasons it isn't worth going into. Also, the ladies have not held anything up for a while now - not for over a year as far as I can remember - that happened when we were under-ranked. John, point definitely taken - I am glad to se...

Re: 3rd - 5th July - THE MAJOR ITSF MASTER SERIES @ Bristol

I understand your comments Mr UKFoosballProductions... Maybe you could leave it open, and decide on the day, depending on how things are going... Here's why: The women's events in the UK are no more ready for groups and SE than the Open events. Women's events in the UK have always been DE - if the O...

Re: 3rd - 5th July - THE MAJOR ITSF MASTER SERIES @ Bristol

I have received a couple of requests for me to say something about the format of the women's events - I hadn't realised until I received the messages or would have posted before. Women's events are not only too small, and too polar, for groups and SE to be fair, but are also ITSF events and, like th...

Re: What should the BFA be doing that it isn't doing now?

More transparency is a great idea - periodic reports is a good way of doing this. Contacting various representatives directly is also a good idea. General ideas like that, and more specific ones at the beginning of this thread is, I presume, why this thread was started. Having just joined the BFA as...

Could whoever is dealing with this please let me know estimated prize fund, and how much you are allocating to OS? Also, Jon and I can only make it for the Saturday - we'll leave first thing Sunday morning. He only has OS on Sat - can we put Handicapped on Sat for sure please, esp given Pro-am and o...
