With respect looking at individuals game buying habits does not represent the market. What I believe cannonballguy was getting at is that PC gaming revenue streams no longer just consist of off the shelf sales. However many of the statistics offered to show the decline of PC gaming only show retail ...

The thing about windows is everyone already knows how to use it. Just about every bit of hardware is designed to work with it and software (includign games) is redilly available. Its the easy option and most people including myself are happy to add £50 to the price of our PCs to avoid the hassle of ...

Garlando G200 Homeplay for sale £50

Bought this so I could have a table football at the wedding. Was great, was in constant use and mostly by non foosers. Prior to the wedding the table was immaculate, but the hotel chap that put it up caused some cosmetic damage as shown in the picture. I can confirm it plays as it should and is stil...

Hi Mase I am great, getting married in less than two weeks, have just bought a third car and generally everything is going super. It is easy for people who are jolly nice in person to appear less pleasant here on britfoos. For example I tend to only post here I think something is important. So the o...

Thanks Joe, £70 is the best I have seen so far.

Neil, rental of a car that could take a table football is a good option. I expect it would cost in the region of £30 + fuel. But I am also super busy at the moment and would like someone else to do the leg work.

"foos-ball what the hell is foosball?" yes I know its old ground but what most brits call table football we insist on calling Foosball. This is an unnecessary barrier to new players looking to progress for a start. If we change the logo I would like to see the name changed. stands back as the now op...

I was thinking more if i bought a table 2nd hand. It wont fit in my car and i dont want to drive a long way any how.

So I would be looking to pay a courrier.

£200 transport cost IMO is too much to make it worth buying second hand.

Is it possible to post a football table?

Does anyone here have experience of shipping table footballs?

Has anyone used a courier company to do this before? And if so how much did it cost?

Wiki is the way forward. Could we just prepare the foos wiki site and then trasfer it to britfoos.com when it is better than the brit foos site? I can write a wiki page in half an hour, I am much more likely to do that than trawling over the main site. can the wikki be made more colourful? Perhaps i...

Bill, like most people that post here I am reliant on the likes of you to take the bold step and host a tournament with different rules. Your suggestion is an interesting one however I feel there are a few issues with it: 1) As teeb said I would be interested in how you distinguish between shots e.g...

Oli to answer your question I will be doing a little in the short term to get a table or 2 out locally as I stated in my post a little further up this page.

So much point scoring goes on here. I wonder what we forum posters look like to the casual observer.

...I will do my best to introduce as many people as possible to the sport, teach any who are willing as much as I can (not much, sadly) and look into possibly setting up a mini-league/tournament / a foosball society at the uni. So far this could be the single most useful action to come out of the d...

Hi Philo, I wouldn't expect action points in a discussion thread. I would not normally expect action points in a forum thread either; but this thread has more to it than the average britfoos thread. I was hoping for a useful “I will…” amidst all the “You should…” Let me start. My local pub has spac...

13 pages of post with no agreed action. It would seem to me like banning the snake is up to the person running the tables. Be that Geoff in a college or the Holywell guys hosting a national tournament. Only they can chose what the rules are on the tables they choose provide. It is not up to the BFA ...

Boris, Dave Z etc. Well done 10 points each. Were I in the BFA’s shoes I would be doing everything I could to get the support of the man who has the UK monopoly on grass roots table football. Indeed, as a result of my latest findings, I have decided that the snake has such a malign influence on the ...
