Re: BFA and DP

Dave P why on earth are you still here if you hate the BFA and don't play table football?

I think John Worthington said it best...

Reading Friday 14th August

I am looking to go to Reading on Friday for some games.

I am assuming there are going to be a few people there.

Does anyone want a lift from Southampton?

Re: The Bristol Major Afterglow

After reading all that I am wondering how someone who does not win any games in a singles event can go up in the rankings. :splat:

Seems a bit silly to me.

Winchester Friday 31.07.09

There will be a few of us in the Black boy pub Winchester this Friday evening if anyone fancies it.

We have heard there are a few local players that frequent the pub on a Friday and thought we would go along. Are there any Winchester locals on britfoos? Or does anyone else fancy coming down?

Re: Survey - Why didn't you go to the Garlando Worlds this year?

1) Too Much Foosball - There are more foosball events than i need in this country - so if i wanted to increase my foosball time I would get more foos per £ here.

Re: Open Singles Final - Sponsored by XMOS

I think those are the best quality foos videos I have seen on internet. Very professional. Well done Jon

If you ever have the inclination to do another one the odd slow motion replay of an impressive bit of play would be appreciated.

Re: Looking into buying a decent Table

If you can put up with it being a little scruffy look buy an old coin operated garlando table if you can. Those tables are very solid and are what most members of this forum started on. It will be hard to break and loads of fun. :D Also should you want to sell it in the future you will get most of y...

I saw that and thought. Why on earth are they interviewing Craig Fothergil? Does he even play any more?

But having read that I can see why. Very good article.

Re: Changes to ranking system weightings

Its been said before but it really is illogical having events that limit entry based on criteria not related to foosball contributing to the ranking system. I would include women's, senior, junior and mixed events in that category. If I held an event for left handed people only what weighting should...

It seems we too struggle with the short notice. We will have to sort out a date in the future that we all can make.

You lot are always welcome down here on a Wednesday night too.

Re: Oxford International Open - Afterglow

I have been hesitant to post as I know saying bad things about a tournament that has taken great effort to organise for little reward is generally frowned upon on Britfoos. But I feel it is worth being the bad guy here if there is a chance that future tournaments can overcome these challenges as a r...

Re: The Gate is being closed....

I understand Phil W already has a replacement venue lined up. I will leave it to him to announce the details.

But as for THIS wednesday shall we go down to the royal oak and play some garlando, I need more practice for the weekend.
