Re: The Black Horse Thread

Turnout last Sunday was good with myself plus Tich, Dave Z, Blonky, Blonky's sons and a new guy whose name I have forgotten (sorry) - a good player!

We will be there again from 4:30pm today.

Yes, although Tich now has a brand new Tornado in the Black Horse set at 50p a game, which is good value and a scene is developing there again.

I certainly am not Mase bashing and am simply commenting on 50p. In fact there has been no Mase bashing.

Hmmm, this chat doesn't seem to be specific enough, I feel this comment should have been made in general chat.

Re: London has a new multi-table venue!

£1 for 9 balls...need to figure that out. and.. Otherwise I'm not interested in going there on £1 per play. then... ...50p a game in London isn't probably ever going to happen as it doesn't need to, out west maybe. Focus on that and stop being a hater  So what is your ideal price structure in...

Re: London has a new multi-table venue!

£1 for the premium of a central london (zone 1) location is to be expected, £1 for Shepherds Bush is disappointing.

Re: Elbow Rooms, Shoreditch - 4 x Fireballs

Was a good night last night. The fireballs play nicely and the £1 per game is not bad if a few of you are chipping in like Naeem says. I don't think I would be prepared to pay this outside of the centre though. Lighting isn't great, but there is one table which has reasonable lighting. This was the ...

I'm in. I live near Wimbledon which is just 15 minutes in on the A3, but could get myself to a convenient train station.

Now need partners.

Re: Pro Master Coaching & Demos - Mod Split

Yeah Joe, I can't believe you started off with such a sarcastic tone, it made mine look bad. So to continue the requests for the expert demonstrations: Tom has been working on a very hard stick lane pass - he calls this the 'punch to the face'. This pass goes straight into a long push kick, he calls...

Really enjoyed last night, was great to see so many make the trip.

Steve Lyall did phone to reserve a spot, however Davey B decided to come along and took the last place in the draw so steve had to sit on a bench and watch...but a good time was had by all!

Re: Responsibilities of Team Coach

Steve, I absolutely agree that Joe did a terrific job this year as Men's Team coach, keeping us organised and taking a fair amount of flack in the process, indeed taking flack from the squad should be one of the responsibilities ;) This is in no way a critique of any of our coaches from this or prev...

Re: Responsibilities of Team Coach

Although we have managed to organise some team training sessions before the world cup in previous years, we are not always very good at this, so making it a coach responsibility would help here. Obviously this highlights the need to select the team as early as possible, since if it is not confirmed ...

Responsibilities of Team Coach

Following this year's world cup campaign and Joe's comments that we have never really thought about a list of responsibilities for the team coach, I thought it might be worth thinking about what the team actually needs from a coach. The ITSF require us to have a coach to be in charge of making sure ...
