Re: East Anglia Open Results & Afterglow

The thing I've generally heard which stops most tournaments from happening is the lack of paid help to transport, put up and take down tables. There's scope for someone to start a little business doing this task if they own a decent sized van, and it would no doubt help to reinvigorate the national...

Re: East Anglia Open Results & Afterglow

Anyone can run a tournament. There will always be help to those who actually go ahead and make the first steps to organising their own tournament. There were a few new guys at this one, from Cambridge & Leicester. That's how the bfa community was built; new guys coming along to tournaments, enjoying...

Re: East Anglian Open - Garlando Master Series - Great Yarmouth 27-29 November

Pre-registration has been up for a little while now;

http://www.britfoos.com/registration/Ea ... anOpen2015

Filling it in, once you know your partners, really helps. So it would be greatly appreciated if you could take the 2 mons to do so when you can.

Thanks!

Re: P4P International german championships October in Bonn.

P4P tournaments are brilliant. Having gone to my first in Zurich this weekend, I can safely say I'll be doing more P4P than ITSF over the next year. I think more Brits should go to them. The standard is higher, you get more variety in styles of play, and they're more along the lines of British tourn...

Re: East Anglian Open - Garlando Master Series - Great Yarmouth 27-29 November

Hi Agne, Based on Boris' ranking criteria above you will be ranked amateur and can enter amateur events. As an fyi, you're much more likely to get a quick response on any questions if you use the Facebook Event Page for this tournament here - https://www.facebook.com/events/614386888664162/ - or mes...

Re: Leonhart WCS Berlin 11-13 September 2015

There are some out Thursday afternoon, back Sunday night flights from Liverpool. So I am tempted to just pop over for the few days. Hotel tournaments are always fun. So if anyone else is tempted and needs a partner let me know, and it might push me over the line to going. Oh, and as an fyi I'm going...

Re: ECL & Garlando WCS - Vienna, Austria

I'm playing od and rd with Sam Dawkins.

Also, I have booked a 2 bed apartment close to the venue Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. If anyone wants to take the second bed then drop me a line. 8.9 rating on booking.com, looks pretty fancy.

Team Event News! Entry eligibility 1. Each team needs to be made of members of a registered BFA Club. Don't have a BFA Club? No problem! You can set one up in 2 minutes here: http://www.britfoos.com/node/add/club . 2. Each registered BFA Club can enter more than one team e.g. Hereford A, Hereford B,...

It would also be rather helpful if anyone going could put that they're going on the fb page (above). It helps with local promotion if it looks like it's going to be a decent sized event through social media etc. Thanks!

Getting down with the kidz (that's how they spell it these days right?) I believe most pre-tournament talk/announcements are happening on the Facebook page -

So probably best to direct all things through here if possible!

Hearing that this is going to be the best attended ukc in a long time. Possibly ever. So looking forward to this one! Should be fun.
