Re: Valid move? (banging man against wall/ball)
It's not clear to me that banging the playing figure hard against the BALL would constitute a foul. This wouldn't be considered a foul if done accidentally, for sure - this happens a lot during loose singles play when trying to catch the ball. I think this is one of those where if the ball goes in t...

Re: Garlando Worlds - 6-9 July
I've invited all those who have said they are coming, with the exception of Darren and Alice, to a Facebook group. (Darren, Alice, I can't find either of you on Facebook). Trying to coordinate teams and captains, since it's clear that we'll have a good turnout, potentially spread across a couple of ...

Re: ECL & Garlando WCS - Vienna, Austria
Just FYI - there are exceptions to their rankings. If you've been before and done well then double check with them first as you might have been bumped a division without them properly updating IGR.
Singles and doubles rankings are kept separate in IGR so ask for both.

Re: Moving a Garlando Coperto
Removing the rods like this should work given the players and springs can move. As you pull the outer rod out over the end of the inner, it is likely you will encounter a little resistance via a tiny cylindrical black plastic washer (probably). This is normal, and nothing much to worry about, just p...

Yup that's me.
Photos and I'll tell you if it's worth paying to move it.
Tables go on eBay for 50-250 every week. Did you pay anything for this one?

Re: Moving a Garlando Coperto
Puddle - if it's dry now then it's probably fine. Mould would be annoying. If it's warped then you might consider replacing it. The paper underlay between the glass and the wood is regularly replaced and you can even make custom ones yourself. If still wet, dry it. Springs: Garlando sell replacement...

Re: Moving a Garlando Coperto
1) Can the top part of it ie the part that holds the rods and the glass top, be separated? I saw that it was hinged and there was a gas struts on both sides that holds it up. 2) can the playfied be separated? 3) how easy is it to put all these back? 4) I will also need to remove the rods and handle...

Re: No-Pro and Masters Singles/Doubles?
The only point in masters events is if they are ultra-high stakes events. E.g. £100+ entry fees to each. Only the top X eligible to enter, etc.
Otherwise it's just crap.

Re: EGM at Warwick Open 2013
There are details to work out, particular re charging genuine grass-roots players. My opinion is that we should try something like "Novices registered via a BFA club pay nothing". But I don't have time to weigh up the pros and cons to be honest. I haven't read everything in this thread. The big issu...

Re: Brand new Fireball for sale
Have now been asked a couple of times; this is the brand new ITSF version - ie the version being used in Nantes, and it would ship directly to you off the boat from China.Jonathan May wrote:I have a brand new boxed ITSF homeplay Fireball for sale. Contact me if you are interested.

Re: UK Championships?
This is extraordinary. No one knows who would win on what table between any of the top UK players on the day. So 99% of this is irrelevant. Both Rob and Joe have lost to others in the UK in UK events. And players improve. So firstly, stop obsessing about Rob and Joe. The issue here is not about them...

Yes.
The process is the same as any other tournament.
Its kind of obvious why the tournament means nothing to Joe these days.

This place will also be open Tuesday - tomorrow - as well. BYO drinks. £5 entry. It will be awesome. Sufficient interest will mean a DYP or similar.
