Re: The Foosball Guide is Finally Released!

There are tons of high quality advice available on the internet, from Rob Uyeyama's detailed written tutorials to Eric Dunn 's and Zeke Cervantes ' youtube-channels, just to name a few. Additionally, Pro Masters and other experienced tournament players readily share their knowledge on boards like th...

Re: Collignon Interview

The question is how to get the sponsor in - and anyone paying significant money will want to have a decent mix of a mass participation, a TV deal, an organised tour featuring all the best players (with a pyramid of regional/local events underneath), a credible governing body and the image of profes...

Re: Walking the snake

. Sometimes a tap to the far-side-3/4-position is all you need. From there you can hit the far-side corner and the middle with short shots, the 3/4-near-side with your standard pull-length, and the near-side corner with a 3/4-pull, which would then be the only new shot you have to learn. I can't hi...

Re: Walking the snake

Awesome post, Joe! It seems I've learned a lot just by reading it several times. By the way, having three or four options from any point you walk to is not as difficult as it sounds because you don't have to walk to an unlimited number of positions. Sometimes a tap to the far-side-3/4-position is al...

Re: Walking the snake

You're correct - walking only makes sense if you can hit any hole from any position you walk to. That means, if you walk one inch to the push side, you have to be able to hit the ultra short push and pull as well as the three-quarter pull (which goes to the pull-side corner from there) if you want t...

Re: A GOOD PINSHOT VIDEO TUTORIAL - anybody?

Dieter Thiele doesn't really explain anything you don't see in the vid anyway. He says that when you're practicing the Pin Shot, you should do the lateral motion slowly at first. If you just watch his grip and the palm roll motion, you get a pretty good impression of what the Euro Pin is all about.

Hi Boris!

That's interesting. Isn't the RS much more suited for snaking than the Bonzini?

???

I thought Garlando is THE Snake-table?! The younger top players in Austria use that shot almost exclusively, with great success.

Congrats UK!

What a match! In the second half of it, Rob couldn't really profit from his technical advantage, but in the end he and Joe won because of their mental strength, I think. Great play, great sportsmanship. Too bad the loosers had to be Tim and Dirk, though...

Snake Shot practice routines

As a beginner who is trying to learn the rollover, I'd like to ask the experienced and successful snake shooters which practice routines they regard as beneficial. I'm especially interested in how those routines should be adjusted to the advancing skills. Are there typical stages in the development ...

Re: Front pin - differences from Snake.

I think i am quite quick at pinning the ball down and shooting at either side but still with normal grip on the handle. Is this the front pin? yes.  :D As soon as you pin the ball in front of the rod, it's a front pin. Which also makes the Snake Shot a front pin. In case you're talking about the Eu...

Patritsch - those are tables available in the UK. Though German tables are of excellent quality - they come with large shipping costs to the UK, thus are not suitable for someone working with a tight budget. Oops - sorry, Boris! I didn't know that. Seems like the kraut-manufacturers' distribution p...

@ Patritsch - pin shooters can shoot straights without rolling over, I'm guessing. They would have to practice moving the man's foot around the ball very quickly, but basically, I think it's doable. And I'm sure the majority of German top players would LOVE seeing the Snake banned so much that they...
