Re: Up for a game in London

I am sorry that no one has replied to your calls for a game. But I think that shows that Britfoos is now redundant. All the traffic seems to be on Facebook and WhatsApp . There is plenty of Foosball activity in London , Bristol and Manchester. Well enough to get a game most nights of the week. BarKi...

Re: Mike Fowler

So glad you were able to go. It is right we should have someone from the Foosball community, to remember the contribution that Mike made to our game, and to remember our friend.

Re: Mike Fowler

So sorry I will not be able to attend Mike’s farewell gig.
A group of us are going to the Bonzini World Championships in France, but we will raise a glass or two to remember Captain Snakey.

Re: Mike Fowler

How very sad to hear about Mike. He was such an enthusiast for Foosball, and was always trying to encourage new players to take part. The Bricklayers Arms in Putney was were he started to gather a group of regular players. It was so nice to find that Table Football had a home, and it was down to Mik...

Boris thanks for the info. OK is anyone at the Salutation on Friday 2nd September. I am looking to break my journey up to Darlington, and it would be nice to play some games.

Re: HOFC & ICC 2016 Vegas Trip Report

Thank you Rich for taking the time to write that.
I watched some of the antics in the pits. It is a shame they had to be seen by anyone who happened to switch on. No a great advert for a Game we that we hope to attract new players to.

Save the Date? With only 6 weeks notice?
Some chance. Best of luck with that.
I would love to be there, but unable to rearrange existing plans.

Ball ramp for a Tornado

Help needed to source a Ball Ramp for a Tornado table.
If that's not possible, I would appreciate a couple of decent photos of the said item with some dimensions so I can make one.
Most grateful for any help.

Re: Vintage Table on Gumtree

It looks like a Lilliput Table, and probably made in the fifties and not the thirties. The glass top is not original, and was probably added to stop the balls being stolen. I also think that £1500 is way over the top, but Brian Harms may no more..........

Re: Old school - Indoor league Fred Trueman

The Guy who did the modifications to the tables was Wally Osbourne. Wally was the the Team Captain of the Grange Pub, on Ealing Common. The Grange was part of the London League in the early seventies. We have spoken of this league before on this forum. Wally was one of the driving forces of early Ta...

Re: Britfoos Forum or Facebook? Discussion

I don't want this thread to turn into a Darlington tournament thread - it's meant to be about how to go about running cheap successful fun tournaments to rejuvenate the player base and the state of our scene in general. The thread is about FACEBOOK or FORUM. The rest is very interesting but off top...

Re: Britfoos Forum or Facebook? Discussion

Thoughts from a distance. The player base at the moment is at a very low level. We seem to of lost the spark that makes people want to keep turning up for those big events. I believe that we have just taken a wrong direction for a couple of years. But for all the right reasons. It is great to see th...
